Field Investigation Findings

During the investigation, we visited the Insured, Mr. Ashok Durgavijay
Vishwakarma at his residence D-401 Ekveera Sai Sankul Marathi School
road Golavali Dombivli (East) and has been living on the said address
along with his family since 8 years . He has been working as a Rickshaw
Driver. The IV Bajaj RE CNG bearing no. MH-05-DZ-6252 is registered
under said name and was bought in the year 2019 and was financed from

Bajaj Finance Limite. The vehicle is used for commercial purposes by

During the investigation, the insured stated that he did not have the details
of the previous insurance policy and there was a gap of 4 months between
the current and the previous insurance policy. The current policy is a fresh
policy issued from Go Digit GIC, vide Policy no. D110198828 is valid from
27-07-2023 to 26-07-2024. The current NCB is 0%.

In the course of our investigation, we obtained a copy of the First

Information Report (FIR), revealing that Mr. Ashok Durgavijay
Vishwakarma was the complainant. According to the statement provided
on 21/10/2023 at around 20:00 hours, he parked the IV Bajaj RE CNG
bearing no. MH-05-DZ-6252 Near Galovali Smashan Bhumi, Dombivali
East and went home. On the next day, when he returned to the parked

that the IV was missing. He checked in the nearby area but did not find the
IV.
During the investigation, IV Driver Mr. Ashok Durgavijay Vishwakarma
confirmed that the IV was ignition locked but he did not lock the handle of
the IV as the steering lock was damaged.

During investigation, the insured confirmed that he had received two

During the investigation, we inquired about the finance to the insured and
he stated that the loan amount was Rs. 2,58,000/-, which is paid fully but

 During the investigation, we checked for the PUC of the IV and found that it
was valid till 24/01/2024.

During the investigation, we checked for the PERMIT of the IV and found
that it was Contract Carriage Permit, vide no. MH2020-CC-9098C and was

valid from 28-10-2020 to 27-10-2025 in the MMRTA area.

During the investigation, we checked for the fitness of the IV and found out
that it was valid till - 07-Sep-2022, Hence it was not valid at the time of
theft.

During investigation when we inquired with the insured regarding the
service of the IV, he informed us that he had got the IV serviced on a local
road garage - Raju Auto Parts, near Pandurang Wadi, Dombivali and

Parts and it was closed so we took spot photos of the same. We tried to
contact the owner with the contact number on the board 9819261352 and
it was switched off.

The IV Bajaj RE CNG bearing no. MH-05-DZ-6252 was reportedly stolen

from 21-10-2023 to 22-10-2023 in between 20:00 hours to 06:00 hours
from Near Galovali Smashan Bhumi, Dombivali East. The last IV Driver was
the Insured himself- Mr. Ashok Durgavijay Vishwakarma and he confirmed
he did not handle-locked the IV when last parked as the steering lock was
damaged.

reported to Manpada Police Station, Thane on 28/10/2023 at 00:00 hours
by the insured – Mr. Ashok Durgavijay Vishwakarma vide FIR No-
0874/2023 u/s 379 of IPC. During the investigation, we visited the police
station and verified the FIR copy submitted by the insured. There was a
delay of 6 days in filing the FIR. We inquired about the delay and the
Insured said that he had informed the Police and Police noted raw
complaint and then registered the FIR on 28/10/2023. We visited the
Manpada Police Station and inquired about the theft and found out the IV
is still not rec

After our detailed investigative enquiries with the people connected in this
theft case and also physically verifying and comparing the documents and
information sourced by us from various areas, we are of the opinion that it
is true as per police paper IV Bajaj RE CNG bearing no. MH-05-DZ-6252
was reportedly stolen from 21-10-2023 to 22-10-2023 in between 20:00
hours to 06:00 hours from Near Galovali Smashan Bhumi, Dombivali East.
The last IV Driver was the Insured himself- Mr. Ashok Durgavijay
CONCLUSION:-
Vishwakarma and he confirmed he did not handle-locked the IV when last
parked as the steering lock was damaged. As per the insured, there was
footage of the IV being stolen at 01:55 hours on 22-10-203 but he did not
get the copy of the footage and does not have the backup either. There is
claim intimation delay of 56 days was there as the insured Mr. Ashok
Durgavijay Vishwakarma informed us that he was not aware of the claim
procedure. The Fitness of the IV was not valid at the time of theft.We
