Field Investigation Findings

 During the investigation, we visited the Insured- Mr. Sahaj Singh Satpal
Singh’s residence at 14/235 Tekchand Niwas, 2nd floor, Sion East, 400022.
We found out that the insured works in the hotel management industry
and is currently in Gurgaon. We also found out that the insured’s mother
and brother live at the said residence since 2019. We found out that the IV
is registered under the Mr. Sahaj Singh Satpal Singh’s name.

During the investigation, we found that the IV Suzuki Access 125 bearing

no. MH-01-DL-1373 was purchased from Kapoor Motor Works located at

Garage No. 2, plot number 236, Tekchand Niwas, Sion East, Mumbai –
400022 in the year 2019 for the sum of Rs. 77,000/- which was paid in
cash. The IV is used for personal use by him and his brother Mr. Guren
Singh Satpal Singh Arora.

During the investigation, we contacted the Insured and inquired about the
theft. He assured us that he will be schedule a meet or send the written
statement, but till date we have not received

In the course of our investigation, we obtained a copy of the First

Information Report (FIR), revealing that brother of the Insured - Mr. Guren
Singh Satpal Singh Arora was the complainant. According to the statement
provided, On 05/11/2023 at around 20:00 hours on his way to Guru Krupa
hotel, Sion, Mumbai the IV slipped causing injuries to Mr. Guren Singh
Satpal Singh Arora and his friend Mr. Ishraj Singh took him home and the
FIR Version IV Suzuki Access 125 bearing no. MH-01-DL-1373 was parked near the
spot of accident near Vijay sales, Sion Circle, Sion, Mumbai. On 25/11/2023
at 21:00 hours the IV was present at the spot of the parking. On
26/11/2023 at 20:00 hours when he went to collect the IV Suzuki Access
125 bearing no. MH-01-DL-1373 and he reached the parked location, he
found out that the IV was missing. He checked in the nearby area but did
not find the IV.

During investigation, the insured confirmed that he had received two

REMARK ON KEY OF THE original keys out of which one is less used and one is more used. The
VEHICLE insured stated that both original keys have been submitted to the
insurance company.

The intimidated the insurance company on 19/11/2023 and a delay of 23

days was noted.

The Insured has not intimidated the RTO regarding the theft till date.

During investigation when we inquired with the insured regarding the

RTO Related Facts service of the IV, he informed us that he had got the IV serviced at Kapoor
service center and he did not remember the date of servicing and service
bills are not available with him although we have collected a service bill
dated 04/12/2022.

We checked online for the PUC details of the vehicle and it was not present
in the database.

 During the investigation, we visited the IV Driver Mr. Guren Singh Satpal
Singh Arora and we inquired about the incident and he confirmed that the
handle of the IV was not locked.

The IV Suzuki Access 125 bearing no. MH-01-DL-1373 was reportedly

stolen from 25/11/2023 to 26/11/2023 in between 21:00 hours to 20:00
hours near Ratnadeep Stationery, Vijay Sales, Sion Circle, Sion, Mumbai.
The last IV Driver was - Mr. Guren Singh Satpal Singh Arora and he
Other Important Facts confirmed the IV was not handled locked when last parked.

The theft of IV Suzuki Access 125 bearing no. MH-01-DL-1373 was

reported to Sion Police Station, Mumbai on 17/12/2023 at 19:30 hours by
the brother of the insured - Mr. Guren Singh Satpal Singh Arora vide FIR
No-0418/2023 u/s 379 of IPC. During the investigation, we visited the
police station and verified the FIR copy submitted by the insured. There
was a delay of a 21 days in filing the FIR as the specific officer who was to
take the FIR was on leave.

we are of the opinion that it is true as per police paper that THE IV Suzuki
Access 125 bearing no. MH-01-DL-1373 was reportedly stolen from
25/11/2023 to 26/11/2023 in between 21:00 hours to 20:00 hours near
Ratnadeep Stationery, Vijay Sales, Sion Circle, Sion, Mumbai. The last IV
Driver was - Mr. Guren Singh Satpal Singh Arora and he confirmed the IV
was not handled locked when last parked. The IV was parked at the
roadside, infront of the bridge near sion circle. We requested to meet the
CONCLUSION:-
Insured but the Insured till date had not schedule a meeting, hence we
mark non-cooperation on the part of the Insured. We visited the Sion Police
Station and inquired about the theft and found out the IV is still not
recovered. The Insured did not provide any proof of IV possession after
policy issuance. We requested proof and reason for vehicle parked un-
attendant for excessive period but the Insured did not provide anything,
hence the case is non genuine.
