3. MEASUREMENT OF HEIGHT AND WEIGHT

11 Unwrap the body, apply soap all over the body, giving
special attention to the neck, arms, axillae, grains fingers
and toes

12 The baby is held firmly and submerged gradually into the


water in the tub to rinse the soap completely
13 Take the baby from the water and dry him by patting gently

6. CORD CARE

with thumb and fore finger of the left thumb

5. Keep the nozzle of the irrigator about 2 cm above the eyes


and allow the fluid to run into the conjunctival sac. The
flow should run from the inner cantus to the outer cantus,
so that the infection will not enter into the nasolacrinal
duct

6. Ask the patient to look up while irrigating the inner part of


the lower lid and to look down while the inner part of the
upper lid is irrigated

7. Irrigate the eye until the outflow is clean

8. Wipe the eyes for the effect of irrigation

9. Instill eye drops or ointments according to order and make


the patient comfortable

10.PREPARATION OF SPUTUM SMEAR

2. Select a new unscratched slide using a broomstick

11. PREPARING BLOOD SMEAR

dropper shake well and boil it again. The result may be
recorded to the color as blue, green, yellow orange and
red. Blue indicates absence of sugar, green 1%, yellow
2%, orange 3% and Brick red 5%
