The relationship and development of arts design/pattern of certain artworks and on the
commonalities and differences of cultures of South, West and Central Asian countries in relation
to Philippine culture is interesting topic that is new to you.
This summative assessment determines if you have learned something in the previous
lessons. It also tests whether you are ready to advance to the next topic or stay and recall some
information for you to be fully equipped with knowledge about South, West and Central Asian
art design artwork.

Direction: Read the following statements then identify the origin whether South, West or
Central. Use separate sheet of papers for your answers.
1. Printed tablecloths, curtains, bedspreads, shawls, and various coverlets were utilitarian
and served as a daily round ornament as well.
2. The Indus civilization featured two styles of sculpture: stylized and (relatively) realistic.
3. It is clearly evident in the variety and quality of regional arts and crafts.
4. Carpet weaving is an ancient art and each tribe developed its own distinctive pattern.
