What do you hope to achieve in the next ten years? Can you picture yourself doing
your dream job or raising a family? But I'm here to ask you, what if there's a chance that
won't happen? What if I told you that if we kept living as we are now, we might eventually
do the unthinkable and permanently destroy our environment?

Let me begin by explaining how humans continue to degrade the environment that
sustains us. Millions of individuals generate a lot of rubbish each day without considering
the impact on the environment. Even suburban areas are affected by pollution, and trash
can be found in Antarctica, where no one lives.

The time is right for us to act differently and take better care of Mother Earth. The planet
can be saved in a variety of ways. One significant step that doesn't take much work is
reducing our use of plastic. We can prevent Mother Earth from warming up and other
ecological issues by raising awareness about the effects of our actions. You have a lot of
power as an individual and may not even be aware of it. People often say that the youth
are our future. However, how can we guarantee that there will even be a future?

It will take all of us to stop climate change, thus it's critical that people recognize the
significance of environmentalism. Attempt to persuade others to follow suit. Even as a
discussion opener, you can bring up protecting the environment. Talk about what you
know and how you've modified your daily routine to help save the environment.
Reusable straws, living a zero-waste lifestyle, energy conservation, and many others.

I am Marcus Martinez, a DENR worker, son, friend, and believer. I appreciate you taking
the time to hear what I have to say. This is for each and every one of you, not just for
myself. Mother Earth brings us together in a manner that no one else can, inspiring us to
share a common goal—caring for the environment. In order for our mother planet to
avoid dying and instead flourish and live a long, beautiful life for future generations to
witness, I hope that this will spur urgency.
