Statement of Purpose: Well, as the M & E Coordinator, it is a great privilege for me to share with you the purpose of the
SMEA.

It is again the time of the year that we are gathered to talk about the difference Monitoring and evaluation (M&E)
is essential for knowing whether an education sector plan is actually being implemented or not. Collecting, monitoring,
analyzing, and evaluating information helps ministries of education (MoEs) learn lessons for policy and planning in the
future.

The SMEA Objective is to enable the SCHOOL to immediately respond to issues and concerns affecting the
effectiveness of programs and efficiency of program delivery to:

a. Provide immediate feedback on the efficacy and weaknesses of program implementation at the school level vis-
a-vis SIP and AIP implementation;

b. Respond to technical and training needs of teachers; and

c. Identify enhancements to educational policies and guidelines.

-------------and now that it is already clear to us the purpose of our SMEA,

Acknowledgment of Participants: At this point, I would like to call in our JHS Guidance Counselor, Mrs. Rachel D.
Teves for the acknowledgment of the participants. A big hand, please!
-------------DAGHANG SALAMAT, MA’AM!
