Guidelines in LABORATORY report

2 Abstract. Summarize the major points of the report, including a one sentence statement of
what was done/attempted, significant data/results obtained, and a brief statement about the
meaning of the results. This section should be very concise and not exceed 200 words. (Should
be your own words)

3. Introduction. Provides background material needed to support and understand the data
presented in the report.Theoretical background of the topic. Avoid copy and paste from internet
source.

4. Objectives: Should be aligned with your title. From main to specific. Paragraph form

5. Methodology: Use past tense. Paragraph form. This section should be as brief as possible,
yet allow your peers to repeat exactly the experiment you described given only your report as a
guide. Do not start your sentence with a numerical value (e.g. 5.00 g of aspirin)

6. Results and Discussion. Relevant data should be tabulated with proper title. Figures should
have titles down the images. Discuss the data you obtained and mention its importance or what it
indicate/s.

7. Conclusion

8. References: Use APA format.
