OVERVIEW
About Us
Navami Foundation is a non-governmental organization established on
a mission “to accelerate sustainable rural development” through
collaborative efforts and sustainable initiatives. Founded in the year
2023, the organization is working in addressing pressing social,
economic and environmental challenges in rural areas and striving to
create a better world.
Our approach is holistic and integrated, recognizing the
interconnectedness of social, economic and environmental
challenges. With a vision “to reinvent social responsibility” we
collaborate with various stakeholders, including Governments,
corporate, NGOs, local communities, businesses and alike to develop
comprehensive strategies that address root cause and create
enduring impact.

Objective: To attract rural youth towards agriculture

region, Karnataka

 LEADERSHIP TEAM
The Navami Foundation was started out of passion by few likeminded
individuals who are working to add some value to rural community.
The organization was started with 3 founding members one of which is
a female member.

Sunil Peddi Dr. Chinmayi V Sharankumar

Founder & Executive
Director
Social Entrepreneur by passion, who loves
innovation and entrepreneurship and uses
them as an approach to address issues. He is
constantly engaged in activities which
contributes for sustainability.
He has a educational background of
Masters in Agricultural Sciences from UAS-
Bangalore (with ICAR-Junior Research
Fellowship) and General Management
Programme from IIM-Bangalore. He also
tried working at National Institute of
Agricultural Extension Management
(MANAGE), Hyderabad for a while as
Research Fellow and later on embarked into
the entrepreneurial journey. Since then he is
involved in accelerating sustainable rural
development through various initiatives.
Director of Programmes for
Women
Dr. Chinmayi likes to work at grass roots and
is dedicated for development of
marginalized communities, particularly farm
women and children of rural areas. Though
born and brought up in Bangalore, she
witnessed first hand the challenges faced by
rural people, igniting her passion for rural
development.
She pursued her Masters and PhD in
Agricultural Extension wherein she gained
insights into the systemic issues affecting
disadvantaged group of rural areas and later
on started on a career focused on
community development. She worked with
various grassroots organizations, gaining
invaluable experience in programme
management, advocacy and capacity-
building initiatives.
Director of STEM &
Operations
Mr. Sharankumar, a Farmer’s son from
Honnakirangi village of Kalyan-Karnataka
Region is highly passionate and determined
for serving rural people.
He completed his Master of Social Works
(MSW) along with Diploma in Agriculture and
developed a deep understanding of the NGO
& social sector. He has also undergone
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) course
and gained insights of the laws governing
social responsibility in India. After his
education he gained experience and first
hand knowledge by working with farm
resources centre, start-ups, Non
Governmental Organizations (NGO’s) and
other institutions which are directly
contributing for rural development
