Visitalo is an emerging startup in the Central American tourism sector that
has generated interest since its founding in January 2024. With an innovative
proposal, Visito is positioned as a mobile application aimed at revolutionizing
the way in which tourists discover and enjoy destinations in Central America.
The platform offers a unique experience by providing detailed and up-to-date
information on tourist attractions, cultural activities, local cuisine and
accommodation, all in an intuitive and easy-to-use format.

developers behind VISITALO. Two architecture
students, with a shared passion and desire to
promote the technological development of the

We have come together to create an

PROBLEM
The problem that we seek to address with VISITALO focuses on several aspects
that negatively affect people's travel experience.
Recurring scams by travel agencies.
Lack of knowledge of the itinerary development process.
Issues related to security and trust.
According to the newspaper La Tribuna (2023), more than 43 complaints have
been filed in 2023 by the Special Prosecutor's Office for Consumer and Senior
Protection against nine travel agencies, which shows an upward trend in this
type of dishonest practices.
Lack of access to reliable travel planning resources has left many tourists
vulnerable to falling into the hands of scammers and has negatively affected
their travel experience in the region. In this context, VISITALO seeks to
address this problem in the most transparent way possible and to be a main

VISITALO addresses the problem of scams

providing direct access to a wide range of
verified and transparent tourism services,
users can avoid paying exaggerated
amounts of money for unnecessary items
or for services they never receive.
In addition, VISITALO implements
rigorous verification and evaluation
processes of tourism service providers to
guarantee the quality and reliability of
the options available on the platform.
This helps prevent situations where users
are scammed by non-existent or
fraudulent companies.
Lastly, the application promotes transparency in all transactions and services
offered on the platform. Users have access to detailed information about the
