CT SCAN OF BRAIN PLAIN

TECHNIQUE: A preliminary lateral topogram of the brain was performed. Volume scans were then
performed with OM line as reference.

Cerebellar hemispheres are normal.
4th ventricle is normal in size.
Brainstem is normal.
SUPRATENTORIAL REGION:-
Ill-defined intraaxial hypodensities are noted in bilateral periventricular white matter - s/o
small vessel ischemic changes.
Calcific foci seen in right frontal region measuring ~ mm with no perifocal edema -
suggestive of calcified granuloma.
Sulci, ventricles and cisterns are prominent in caliber – suggestive of diffuse cerebral
atrophy.
No evidence of intracerebral/subdural bleed/acute infarct.
No midline shift.
Visualised paranasal sinuses are normal.
Bones and soft tissues are normal.
