EXT. CAR PARK - NIGHT

HANNAH crouches on the ground, staring down at her BLOOD-
STAINED hands. Her hands shake slightly as she catches her
breath.
CUT TO BLACK.
BEGIN FLASHBACK:

FADE TO:

INT. HANNAH'S BEDROOM - NIGHT

Hannah sits at a DESK, looking into a MIRROR and applying RED
LIPSTICK. Her sister, ESMÉ, lays on Hannah's bed, watching
her.
ESMÉ
Tom? Really?
HANNAH
(putting her lipstick
away)
Yeah...
ESMÉ
Why him?
HANNAH
(checking her makeup in
the mirror)
He's cute.
ESMÉ
You're insane.
Hannah laughs and turns to face her sister, who stares back
disapprovingly.
HANNAH
Why do you care which guys I go out
with?
ESMÉ
He's creepy.
HANNAH
(laughing again)
Creepy?

Hannah gets up and takes off her jumper.

CUT TO:

EXT. FRONT DRIVEWAY - CONTINUOUS

A CAR pulls up on Hannah's driveway. The HEADLIGHTS hide the
driver's face. He stares through Hannah's bedroom window,
watching her. His eyes then glance in the REAR-VIEW mirror.
CUT TO:

INT. HANNAH'S BEDROOM - CONTINUOUS

Hannah pulls a LACED CAMI TOP over her head and turns to her
sister.
HANNAH
How's this?
ESMÉ
(sitting up)
For a first date?
HANNAH
What?
ESMÉ
(eyeing her up and down)
Nothing... there's just a lot
showing.
.
HANNAH
(raising her eyebrows)
Really? Since when'd you join the
church?
Hannah puts her hands together and bows her head, mocking her
sister.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Sister Esmé.
ESMÉ
(rolling her eyes)
Shut up. I'm just worried.
Esmé's expression becomes more serious.

ESMÉ (CONT'D)
I heard things about Tom... There's
rumours...
Hannah's expression shifts from relaxed to uncomfortable. She
stares at her sister, her lips wavering as she prepares a
response.
A loud CAR HORN sounds from outside, startling the two.
HANNAH
(under her breath)
Jesus...
Hannah moves to the window and looks down to see the car.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
He's here.
Hannah grabs her bag and heads for the door.
ESMÉ
Be careful.
HANNAH
(nodding)
I will. Love you.
Hannah exits the room.
CUT TO:

EXT. FRONT DRIVEWAY - CONTINUOUS

Hannah leaves her house and locks the door. TOM's eyes follow
her as she walks towards his CAR. He leans across to open the
passenger door for her, smirking slightly.
TOM
Hey.
Hannah gets into the car and closes the door behind her.
HANNAH
Hi.
TOM stays staring at Hannah for a moment, expecting her to
say something more. Hannah does not meet his eyes.
TOM
Shit... you look-
Hannah looks at him. He pauses.

HANNAH
(raising an eyebrow)
I look what?
TOM
You look hot.
Hannah smiles and turns on the RADIO.
HANNAH
Let's get out of here.
TOM backs out of the driveway.
DISSOLVE TO:

INT. TOM'S CAR - LATER

Hannah leans against the side of the car, staring out the
OPEN window, as Tom drives them down a quiet road. The MUSIC
from the RADIO fills the car. Tom keeps glancing at Hannah as
he drives.
TOM
(trying to catch her
attention)
Hey?
He turns the radio down.
TOM (CONT'D)
We're almost there.
Hannah nods. The two of them go to turn up the music at the
same time. Their fingers meet for a moment, then Hannah pulls
away.
HANNAH
(loudly, to be heard of
the radio)
I love this song.
TOM
(glancing between her and
the road)
Oh yeah?
DISSOLVE TO:

EXT. CAR PARK - MOMENTS LATER

The CAR pulls into an empty car park. Tom parks and shuts the
car off. The MUSIC abruptly CUTS OUT. Hannah shifts
uncomfortably in her seat.

HANNAH
A car park? Really?
TOM
I like it out here. It's quiet.
Tom reaches out to tuck a hair behind Hannah's ear.
TOM (CONT'D)
You are so beautiful.
HANNAH
Thanks...
Tom cups Hannah's chin between his finger and thumb and leans
towards her.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(backing away)
Hey, slow down a little.
TOM
(smirking)
Relax.
He kisses her.
There is a strange NOISE outside the car. Hannah pulls away
from the kiss.
HANNAH
What was that?
TOM
What was what?
HANNAH
I think there's something outside.
TOM
(leaning closer again)
Don't worry about it.
HANNAH
(pushing him away)
No, seriously.
Tom looks annoyed.
 6.

HANNAH (CONT'D)
I don't like this. Can you go check
what it was?
TOM
Seriously?
HANNAH
Yes!
TOM
(rolling his eyes)
Fine... wait here.
He gets out of the car and looks around. He turns back to the
car.
TOM (CONT'D)
(shrugging)
I don't see anything.
HANNAH
Hang on.
She climbs into the driver's seat and turns the ENGINE on.
The HEADLIGHTS come on. Tom covers his eyes with his arm.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
What about now? See anything?
TOM
(more annoyed)
Not while you're blinding me with
those lights, no.
He turns around.
TOM (CONT'D)
There's literally nothing-
He hears the sound of the car moving. He turns around to see
Hannah driving towards him. She's almost smiling.
TOM (CONT'D)
What the fu-
We hear the sound of a collision.
CUT TO BLACK.
FADE TO:
 7.

INT. HOUSE PARTY - NIGHT [FLASHBACK]

Hannah heads upstairs at a house party. Loud MUSIC and
CHATTER filling her ears. She seems stressed as she reaches
the landing. She stops to speak to someone who is standing by
themself drinking from a RED CUP.
HANNAH
Hey, have you seen Sophie?
The person shakes their head. Agitated, Hannah continues down
the landing until she gets to a closed door.
As she reaches for the handle, the door swings open. Tom
exits in a hurry, almost bumping into Hannah on his way out.
He's red in the face as he zips up his JEANS.
Hannah enters the room.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Soph?
Hannah sees her best friend, SOPHIE, sprawled on the floor.
She sits, leaning against the BED behind her, with her head
hung low.
SOPHIE
(looking up and mumbling)
Hannah?
HANNAH
(rushing towards her)
Shit. What the fuck'd he do to you?
Hannah kneels by her friend and pushes her hair out of her
face. SOPHIE's MASCARA has run down her cheeks; she can't
make eye contact with Hannah. She just sobs.
Hannah holds SOPHIE tightly in her arms.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
(whispering)
It's okay... you're okay.
CUT TO:

EXT. CAR PARK - NIGHT

Hannah sits behind the wheel of the CAR, stunned. She takes a
deep breath and closes her eyes for a second.
SOPHIE (O.S)
Did you get him?

Hannah jumps at the sound of Sophie's voice.

Sophie stands outside the car, leaning through the open
window on the driver's side.
HANNAH
(nodding)
Yeah, think so.
Sophie moves away from the door as Hannah gets out.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Is he dead?
Sophie walks in front of the car and looks down.
SOPHIE
He's definitely dead.
HANNAH
(covering her mouth)
I think I'm gonna be sick.
SOPHIE
Don't, it's evidence.
Hannah swallows and grimaces.
SOPHIE (CONT'D)
(laughing, nervously)
Fuck, I can't believe you really
did it.
HANNAH
This is so fucked. We're so fucked.
Sophie places her hands on Hannah's shoulders. She feels
Hannah shaking.
SOPHIE
Calm down. It's gonna be okay.
HANNAH
(nodding)
Okay.
They embrace.
Eventually, Hannah pulls away.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
We have to move the body.
 9.

Sophie nods. They both move round to the front of the car and
look down at the BODY.
HANNAH (CONT'D)
Fuck.

END FLASHBACK.
CUT TO:

EXT. CAR PARK - MOMENTS LATER

Hannah and Sophie look down at the CAR BOOT, where they have
stashed the BODY. Sophie spits at the body, before turning
away from it. Hannah closes the boot with her BLOODIED hands.
The two of them lean against the car. Sophie props her head
against Hannah's shoulder and holds her hand tightly.
HANNAH
Fuck him.
SOPHIE
Fuck him.
FADE OUT.
