The issue is becoming a clear dividing line

between the parties ahead of the next
election.

Mr Sunak told grassroots bible

ConservativeHome: “We should always
have compassion and understanding and
tolerance for those who are thinking
about changing their gender.

“But when it comes to these issues of

protecting women’s rights and women’s
spaces, I think the issue of biological sex is
fundamentally important.”

Meanwhile scientists questioned ONS

stats claiming 262,000 people in England
and Wales are transgender — 0.5 per cent
of the population.

“The ONS must learn lessons from this”.
