Supply chain management of Zomato

Zomato are the aggregators who help deliver food from restaurants to the
customers. The entire process of this supply chain is as follows.

Restaurants- the food is initially cooked at the restaurant as per the order of the
customer on the food delivery app. This order is stored in the zomato database
which is further sent to the restaurant. Once the food is ready, it is further sent
to the supplier.

Supplier- once the food is been cooked at the restaurant, it is sent to the
supplier who further takes the order to the described address on zomato app in
the given time. This supplier is connected to the aggregator (Zomato), who takes
the order from the restaurant.

Customer- customer orders the food on the online app, where they select food
from a particular restaurant given in the app. Once the food is been ordered, that
particular order is sent to the restaurant.

The supplier takes the food order to the customer who is the end receiver of the
supply chain.

Zomato- like any other e commerce company, even zomato has a provider,
supplier and receiver community which is connected by a technology provider,
that is, the zomato database.

When the customer orders the food on the app, the following order is sent by
zomato through the data base to the restaurant. Once the restaurant accepts the
order, zomato selects particular supplier nearest to that restaurant, who takes the
order from restaurant to the customer (receiver) in a given amount of time. in
this, the zomato has an option of selection of food items, restaurants, different
payment option, digital tracking map, communication facility between provider,
supplier and receiver.
In short, zomato binds transport user and provider together as neutral
community by its technology, where a proper system has been created with the
help of internet to make food delivery accessible through internet and further
make the job of both buyer and seller easy.
