Gods Word : The Breath of New Life

2 Timothy 3:16-17 – All Scripture is God-breathed and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting
and training in righteousness, so that the servant of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good
work.

God-breathed Scripture:
a. Consider the Bible like a personal letter from God to each of us. It contains his thoughts,
guidance and intentions for our lives.
b. God’s Word sustains our spiritual life, providing us with purpose, direction and sense of
identity.
Useful for Teaching
a. The Bible teaches us not just about God but also about ourselves, our relationship and the
world around us.
b. It’s like having a best teacher ever, one who teaches wisdom and knowledge that goes beyond
what any human teacher could offer.
Rebuking and Correcting
a. The Bible doesn’t shy away from pointing out our flaws.
b. When we make mistake or go off course, God’s Word gently correct us, showing us a better
way and helping us grow.
Training in Righteousness
a. Developing character that aligns with God’s character.
b. Train us to make choice based on love, justice, and integrity, shaping us into people who
reflect God’s goodness.
Thoroughly Equipped
a. It equips us wisdom, resilience and discernment to navigate complexities of the world.
b. The Bible provides the tools needed to face life’s challenges.
So when we think God’s Word we are filled with very essence of God’s wisdom, guidance, and love.
It transform us, giving us the strength and understanding needed to live a life that pleases God and
give positive impact the world around us.

TRUSTING GOD’S PROMISES

Psalm 145:13 – Your kingdom will never end, and You will rule forever. Lord, You keep Your Word
and do everything You say.

God’s Word for My World


Perhaps some people have broken their promises to you, that’s why you find it difficult to trust others,
including God. But God is not like any person.
He is the almighty God, creator of all things. Breaking promises is inconsistent with His character.
- God hears His People (Exodus 6:5)
- God responds tp the needs of His people.
- God promises to take care of His people.
 I will free you from being slaves.
 I will redeem you with an outstretched arm.
 I will take you as My people; I will be your God.
 I will bring you to the land I swore.
Why trust God’s promises:
a. God, who promised, is faithful.
b. God is not a man that He should lie.
c. God’s purposes are firm.
d. God’s promises stand forever.

1. Philippians 4:13 – I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength.
2. Philippians 4:19 – God shall supply all my needs according to His riches in glory in Christ
Jesus.
3. 2 Timothy 1:7 – God has not given me spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind.
4. Romans 12:3 – God has allotted to me a measure of faith.
5. Ps 27:1, Daniel 11:32 – Lord is the strength of my life and that I will display strength and take
action because I know God.

God in Him.
16. Romans 8:31 – Nobody can be against me when God is for me.
17. 1 Corinthians 14:33; 2:12 – God is the author of peace and He gives me knowledge through
His indwelling Spirit.
18. Romans 8:3i 7 – I am a conqueror in all things thorough Christ.
19. John 16:33 - I can take courage knowing that Jesus has overcome the world and its
tribulations.

 God has deposited in you a wealth of potential you can use to be a successful students
 Whether you believe it or not, you can overcome challenges, no matter how great they may
be, with the help of God.
 What keeps you form using all you’ve got? Maybe you have developed wrong attitudes that
actually hindered you from using your God-given potentials.

Hebrew 13:16 – But don’t forget to help others and to share your possessions with them. This too is

1. Give glory to God – to put the spotlight in God.

Factors that will enable you to hit your goals:
1. God’s presence.- if He is present in your life he can be sure He will guide you and keep you
safe from all harm.
2. God’s promises – His promise is bound to fulfill.
3. God’s Power – He will lead and provide you all the way.
4. God’s favor – you will experience God’s fsvor if you do what pleases Him.
5. God – given abilities – God equipped you with qualities to face the challenges.
6. God – given people – the important people that God brought you will push and support you to
keep going.
