8-21
Maintenance period and data
The mandatory maintenance period in the following table shall be observed within the quality warranty. For the detailed
maintenance items and periods, see below: In the table, “●” means the inspection items to be implemented within the
corresponding period (mileage or months, whichever comes firstly); for example “air filter resistance” shall be checked
every 20000km or every 6 months and the overhead mechanism (valve clearance) every 80000km or 24 months until
the quality warranty period is expired. Which could be also referred to for the maintenance of engine even after the
warranty is expired.

Replacement interval of engine oil: Under severe working conditions, the maintenance interval shall be shortened.
Definition of work load cycle: Heavy-duty work load cycle: idling duration accounts for 40%, fuel consumption higher
than 21L/100km and total mass >18t; normal work load cycle: idling duration less than 40%, fuel consumption lower
than 21L/100km and total mass ≤18t.

Caution: The maintenance mileage and interval shall be properly shortened as the case may be.
Caution: If the max. sulfur content in the fuel exceeds 10ppm, the replacement interval shall be shortened by 50%.
Caution: Options of DPF maintenance intervals: prolong the maintenance interval - maintenance indicator and DPF
8-24
Maintenance period and data
maintenance fault code will show the DPF is full of dust. DPF maintenance code such as the ash
accumulation may vary with the changing work load cycle. In order to reduce the maintenance cost, it is
recommended to use the maintenance indicator as the DPF maintenance indicator. With the maintenance
indicator in working, it is normal that the maintenance interval goes beyond the requirements in the table. The
DPF shall be maintained more frequency if the added engine oil does not meet (API) CJ-4 or above, if the
engine brake is applied frequently or for a long time, or if the engine idles for a long time. Aftertreatment of
diesel engine particulate filter DPF ash load percentage - data is valid, but higher than normal work range -

Running-in specification of gasoline engine
As the initial service status of gasoline engine has great effect on its service life, its running-in must be carried out
according to the following table for 1000km before the normal use, which shows the running-in specifications of new
gasoline engine:

The following rules shall be observed during the running-in:

1. After startup, don’t run the engine at high speed, but slowly warm it up and drive away. Besides, it is prohibited to
accelerate it sharply.
2. Don’t run at a speed unchanged for a long time, as the continuous changing of vehicle speed could run the moving
parts very well.
3. In the first 320km, avoid the sudden braking.
4. Vehicle should run at the proper speed, and don’t run at slow speed with the transmission at the low-speed gear.
5. In the first 1000km, don’t tow any other vehicles.
6. Avoid running on the muddy, sandy, steep or other poor roads.

Fuel
Gasoline engine
It is best to use the gasoline meeting GB17930-2016 92# or above, which is beneficial to keep the reliability of gasoline
engine.

8-38
Maintenance period and data
Caution: Vehicle must use the qualified unleaded gasoline; otherwise, gasoline management system and three-way
catalyst converter will be damaged severely, and the environmental-protection performance will also drop.
Diesel engine(EURO V)
The user may choose different light diesel trademark depending on the ambient temperature in local region.
Caution: The diesel quality is of great influence on the emission of diesel engines. Only the diesel conforming to
standard can ensure the qualified gas and particulate emissions of the diesel engines.
Caution: use of the light fuel reduces the fuel economy or damages to the fuel injection pump.
Recommended temperature range:
Model: Application range
10# light diesel Suitable for the diesel engine with pre-heater
5# light diesel Suitable for the risk rate of 10%, min. temperature of 8 ℃ or more.
0# light diesel Suitable for the risk rate of 10%, min. temperature of 4 ℃ or more.
-10# light diesel Suitable for the risk rate of 10%, min. temperature of -5 ℃ or more.

Above -5ºC -10# diesel for vehicles Above -44°C -50# diesel for vehicles

Above -14°C -20# diesel for vehicles

Caution: At relatively low ambient temperature, any diesel with incorrect grade must not be used; otherwise the wax
will be precipitated from the diesel, causing the diesel pipeline unsmooth or even blocking it. In such case,
the engine is difficult to start or is shut down.
Caution: In order to reduce faults and prolong the engine service life, the principle of “Clean Fuel” should be obeyed
always, for inferior diesel will significantly impair the fuel system from working normally, resulting in great
losses.
Parts to be greased and intervals
Each part of vehicle should be periodically greased.
Before adding the grease, clean the grease nozzle and parts to be lubricated.
After greasing, wipe the residuals. Cap the nozzle.
The following table is for initial 50000km lubrication, after that, refer to the interval in this table for lubrication.
