A li�le piece of wire or pipe cleaner (op�onal)

abbreviations
ch : chain
sl st : slip s�tch
sc : single crochet
hdc : half double crochet
dc: double crochet
inc : increase by making 2 single crochet in the same s�tch.
dec : decrease = insert your hook in the front loops of next 2 s�tches, yarn over, pull loop through both s�tches, yarn over, pull loop
through both loops.
Dec3: insert your hook in the front loops of next 3 s�tches, yarn over, pull loop through the 3 s�tches, yarn over, pull loop through
both loops.
BLO: back loop only
FLO: front loop only

Using color 058 (light grey) and the 2.5 mm hook, make a magic ring:
01 sc 7 into the ring (7)
02 inc x7 (14)
03 (sc 1, inc) x7 (21)
04 (sc 2, inc) x7 (28)
05 (sc 3, inc) x7 (35)
06 (sc 4, inc) x7 (42)
07-11 (5 rounds) sc around (42)
12 (sc 5, inc) x7 (49)

Stuff the head firmly.
21 (sc 1, dec) x10 (20)

Finish stuffing.

Fasten off, leaving a long tail. With a yarn needle, make a whip s�tch in the front loops of the last 10 s�tches
and �ghten to close the hole. Weave in end.

Using color 060 (black), embroider smiling eyes on round 12 (1 s�tch high and 2 s�tches wide), leaving 7
s�tches between them.

muzzle
Using color 001 (white) and the 2.5 mm hook, make a magic ring:
01 sc 6 into the ring (6)
02 inc x6 (12)
03 (sc 1, inc) x6 (18)
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Don’t stuff.
Using color 069 (terraco�a), embroider the nose between rounds 1 & 3 (use
picture as a guide).

Sew the muzzle on the head, between rounds 12 and 17, centered between the
eyes.

Using black embroidery thread, embroider some whiskers on the head, on each
side of the muzzle.

Sew the ears on each side of the head, between rounds 4 & 11, approximately

Using color 029 (red wine), hold the body upside down and insert your hook
in the front loops of round 17 of the body:

Fasten off and weave in end.

Using color 058 (light grey) and the 2.5 mm hook, make a magic ring:

02-25 (24 rounds) sc around (6)
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.
Insert a piece of wire into the tail and sew it at the back of the body,
between rounds 14 & 16.

scarf
Using color 064 (mustard) and the 2.5 mm hook, chain 100 and begin in the
3rd chain from hook:
01 hdc across (98)
Fasten off and weave in end.
Tie the scarf around Graham’s neck.

Valentine envelope
Using color 001 (white) and the 2.5 mm hook, chain 10 and begin in the 2nd chain from hook:
01-16 (16 rows) sc across, chain 1, turn (9)
17 dec, sc 5, dec, chain 1, turn (7)
18 dec, sc 3, dec, chain 1, turn (5)
19 dec, sc 1, dec, chain 1, turn (3)
20 dec3, chain 1 (1)

Turn your work 90°: sc all around the envelope to make a nice border. In the angles make : sc, ch 1, sc
Fasten off, leaving a tail for sewing.

Fold the envelop in 3. Sew the 2 sides and then make a few s�tches to keep the flap in place.

Make a few stitches to

Sew the sides of the

“Sc 1, ch 1, sc 1” in the envelope

Using color 069 (terraco�a) and the 2.5 mm hook, make a magic ring:
01 (sc 1, ch 2, sc 1, hdc 1, dc 3, ch 2, sl st in the 2nd s�tch from
hook, ch 2, dc 3, hdc 1, sl st in the 1st sc of the round, sl st in ch 2) into
the ring. Tighten the ring.
Fasten off and weave in end.
Glue the �ny heart on the envelope.
