I am writing to bring your attention to the poor condition of the roadways in our
community, Cashew Garden Longdonville Chaguanas. As residents of this area, we
have been facing immense difficulty and inconvenience due to the deplorable
state of the roads in our community.
We understand that the Housing Development Corporation (HDC) has been
responsible for maintaining the roads in our community, and we appreciate the
efforts that HDC has made to address some of the concerns. However, despite the
efforts made by HDC, the condition of the roads still leaves much to be desired.
The attached picture clearly shows the current state of one of the roads in our
community. The potholes are numerous and deep, making it extremely difficult
for vehicles to traverse the road safely. This has resulted in significant damage to
vehicles and poses a danger to pedestrians as well.
We believe that it is important to take collective action to address these issues
and therefore, we seek your permission to engage other relevant government
agencies to assist in the repair and maintenance of the roads in our community.
We understand that the government of Trinidad and Tobago is committed to
ensuring the safety and well-being of its citizens, and we trust that you will
support our efforts in this regard.
