Chiapas de Corzo

Chiapas de Corzo is a very beautiful magical town, it is located in the center of the state of
Chiapas, in the southeast of Mexico, it was founded in the year 1528, which is why it is
considered one of the oldest cities in the American continent. The municipality of Chiapa
de Corzo is located on the limits of the Central Depression and the Central Highlands.
It limits to the north, with Soyaló and Osumacinta, to the west, with Tuxtla Gutiérrez,
Suchiapay and Villaflores, to the east, with Zinacantán, Ixtapa and Acala, and to the south
with Villa Corzo. Chiapa de Corzo was originally populated by the Soctona ethnic group,
called by the Aztecs as “Chiapas”, which in Nahuatl means “water that runs under the hill”.
The basic components of the local cuisine are pozol, beef jerky and cochito. Hot and humid
climate; it averages 24º C. The time you can go is at the time of the parachicos party, it

whereabouts (combis) that go to Chiapa de Corzo for $10.00 Mexican pesos. When you
arrive you must get off in the central square of Chiapa de Corzo, you will be able to
recognize it easily.
