Public Facilities

 Public facilities are defined as institutional responses to basic human needs, such as
health, education, safety, recreation, and worship. Examples of typical public facilities
include churches, hospitals, and police stations.
 The benefits of public facility can be shared by many people. Government schools
enable many children to get educated.
 The supply of electricity is essential for all households. Farmers can run pump
sets to irrigate their fields; people open small workshops that run on electricity.

 The advantage of a public facility, is that once provided, its benefits can be
shared by many people.
Public Facilities

For instance, a school in the village will enable many children to get educated.

Supply of electricity and water to an area can be useful for many people like farmers
and shopkeepers.

People can benefit from hospitals by using them for health care.
Public Facilities

The Indian Constitution recognizes the right to education, electricity, water and health
as being a part of the Right to Life.
