This paper Is to present the important of BST machine to replace old power cable.

This part is very critical due to using for BST machine.

If the part damage or malfunction, BST machine will occur breakdown, operation will consume high
coke quantity.

Justification from RMY Operation

Hot metal production per day = 1300 MT/day If full coke smelting (100% coke):
(Effective 13/11/2019 on ward) Total coke consumption = 0.125 +0.400 = 0.525 mt,

Fuel ratio: coal ratio 125 kg/thm (coal batara) However, by consider coke calorific value or
efficiency is higher than coal, consider total coke
Coke ratio 400 kg/thm (coke japan) consumption per ton HM ~ 0.500 mt only
Coal per day = 0.125 mt/thm x 1300 mt/day = Coke consumption per day = 0.500 mt/thm x 1300
162.50 mt/day mt/day = 650 mt/day
Coke per day = 0.400 mt/thm x 1300 mt/day =
520.00 mt/day Estimated total cost = 650 mt/day x 1370 RM/mt
= RM 890,500 per day
Estimate total cost = coal + coke
= [162.50 mt/day x 613 RM/mt] + [520 mt/day x
1370 mt/day]
= 99,612 + 712,400
=RM 812,012 per day

Different = 890,500 – 812,012

= RM 78,488 per day

Therefore, estimate roughly BF will loss around RM 2,354,640/30 day if operation running without
coal supply.
