PART 1:

My philosophy on the child rights are reflected on module 1 to 3 with the issues related to
educators, children who had faced various challenges, issues and problems in development and
learning. The rights of the children are endorsed with the Australian Curriculum of EYLF where
the issues in the profession of teaching and development of children are related with devaluation
of child’s right (Adam et al., 2023). It focused on the principles of ECEC where the children
learnt from the complexity and multifaceted paradigms and philosophy. That are related with the
children development and learning. The issues related to educators enhanced with the child’s
rights which is degrading due to various factors like political issues, environmental issues,
country war and so on. The issues reflected with the emerging information that was related to
various theory and theorist like theory of play developed by Piaget, Montessori, Freud and so on.
They demonstrated child right to play, learn and grow with it. The issues in related to child rights
are demonstrated with the issues of educators where the educators are paid less as per their hard
work and working hours, issues on providing sufficient resources with enough learning spaces,
issues related to judgmental and diversity with diverse background, issues related to barriers of
languages due to children or educators are from diverse background or include family from first
nations like Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander or from migrated from other countries, issues
related to family background and so on (Almendingen et al., 2021). The impacts of issues are
directly reflected with child learning and development.

In fact, some of the issues of the educators are related with monetary values and collaboration
with parents from diverse culture and religion. It impacts on learning and development of
children as it influenced in the language barriers due to from diverse culture and background.
The issues are related to curriculum where the educator had to think critically about the learning
activities with practical demonstration so that children encouraged and motivated to participate
in the activity with keen interest. The insufficient fund limits in demonstrating practical skills
and sufficient learning spaces. In addition, it reflected with the low payment to the teacher and
caregiver due to which children are not properly cared, nurtured and educated. It impacts on the
development of children in growing and learning skills. furthermore, the behaviour of educators
and children are reciprocal where the educators felt difficult to enhanced with the social
2
education to the children and enhanced with rhetoric challenges that are under the learning
outcomes of EYLF. The educators are bound with the policies and procedures of EYL and
ACECQA that influence with the services and enclosed with ethics and ethnicity (Szpunar et al.,
2022). The framework support educators but with limited consequences. The struggle story of
educators and unsatisfactory nature impacts quality of education and services provided by the
educators to the children. Thus, the unmatched ideas and language barriers with the parents
impacted as for the educators is difficult to get information of children form parents. It
highlighted with major issues of educators in early education settings.

PART 2:

My personal philosophy on child’s right explained with the issues and challenges of the
educators and children and are related with different philosophy and theories of play. Child rights
includes with the right to protected, exploitation and abuse, right to be cared and right to learn
through play (Jörgensen et al., 2023). I understand each child has its own uniqueness and has its
own way of speech. As the impact of growing and family background also influence in the
growing and learning of children. The way child learn through belief grows with strong sense of
belonging and always surrounds with positive vibes including positivity in the environment.
Thus, my philosophy related with the actions of learning and growing of children where the
children faced multiple issues and challenges. linked with EYLF, the issues are related with the
bound of EYLF principles and practices where the children are taught everyday with new
activity with demonstrating practical skills.

The play actions related with my philosophy are Reggio Emilia approaches and froebel who
stated that children learnt from environment and easily connected with their lives that surrounds
around them. Children should be left freely but with proper guidance and observance either
through educators or caregiver (Gómez-Zúñiga et al., 2021). The issues and `challenges of the
children are related to improper planning and making uncomfortable strategies with improper
learning activities and sufficient training provided to the professionals or educators due to which
the education system are declining uncountably. The care, nurture and education provided to the
children are incomplete and meaning less and educator should be familiar with learning activities

3
that are demonstrated with practical skills. It further stated that the activity should matched with
child interest and abilities to understand from diverse children pr educators.

In addition, I related my philosophy of child right included with Piaget and Montessori theory of
play who explained educator issues with payment and sufficient resources and learning spaces.
They stated that the method of teaching is changing as per time and environment. educators are
still on the holistic approaches including ethics and emotions (Dag et al., 2021). The learning
method should foster with complex mind that support children with responsive and capable to
think critically.

Approaches related to learning and teaching:

There are various approaches like child centered learning approaches, Riggio Emilia approaches,
play approaches and so on that support my philosophy of child’s right in related to learning and
teaching. It reflected with the contemporary issues that declined with the number increased with
educators or professionals without much practical skills. Approach like providing sufficient
resources and materials for the children where the teacher acts as a facilitator of learning with
emphasizing as per the interest, ability and capability of the children while teaching for their
holistic approaches. A wide range of classroom activities and outdoor activities should conduct to
gains hands on learning and experiences (Becker et al., 2017).

Further, teacher issues are related to time and work as per the curriculum where educator are
engaged with the activity, enquiry of the child questions, correcting and guiding children and
spending hours to observe child strengths, interest, weaknesses, behaviour, learning activity,
movement, expression and exploration (Zhang et al., 2021). It enhanced children to work in
teams or with peers to solve open ended problems. In addition, I understand different learning
styles that are applied by the educators and staying updated with learning technologies. The
inclusion of diverse children enhanced educator to communicate in diverse languages and
supported children with meaningful resources that enhanced child to learn and developed as
adjusting with the environment. underlying the patters of issues of educators like low paying
rate, working long hour, insufficient funds to purchase sufficient learning material resources,

4
enough learning spaces and so on. Thus, the issues related to learning and teaching improved
children and educators to think critically in the development and learning.

Reviewed philosophy for engagement of children in purposeful learning materials.

On reviewing my philosophy in related to module 1 to 3 where the issues of educators and

children are reviewed with the child’s right. I noticed my philosophy with various scholars who
had different points of view on the rights of child to play, learn with meaningful resources. I
understand theory of Erikson and Montessori who supported educators with explaining issues in
related to learning and developing of children. He stated that the issues are related while
collaborating and cooperating with parents who are from diverse background (Jiang & Wu,
2023). He included with the learning materials where the children are educated through
encouragement and participation in different types of learning activity like sand play, mud play,
play with blocks, number play and so on.

Further, I noticed, learning methods such as individual learning, inquiry- based learning, play
based learning, and expeditionary learning and technology- based learning applied by the
educators to diverse children to make them understand clearly in the process of learning. As per
Uren and Stagnitti and Froebel children are left alone and are given opportunity to explore and
express through different types of play activity that support children to understand the
environment and developed fine motor skills (Sarah et al., 2021). They state that children should
be explored with different types of objects and materials that support them to collaborate,
coordinate and work with peers but due to insufficient fund and learning spaces educators are
facing challenges.

Likewise next scholar Huizinga stated the issues of educators are related with the principles and
practices of EYLF where the educator felts limitations to work under EYLF framework. The
rules and policies bound educators and children in one frame that provides opportunities to
participate and demonstrate through practical skills. It was difficult to understand the educators
due to language barriers and insufficient resources to educate the children through practical skills
every day (Wiltshire, 2023).

5
In the nut shell, I understood teacher responsibility under EYLF where educators are supported
with evidence based learning to understand children through exploring and expressing with the
learning objects in new and creative way. On the context of EYLF learning educators provides
and engaged children with meaningful resources that support EC educators in promoting learning
related social, technology, science, arts, languages and emotions. Thus, play in EYLF is
considered as an important aspects in the development of children in learning.
