 Small wins for a big achievement

Ever got a dopamine hit after achieving a goal you achievement set on a new year Sunday?

The feeling is mesmerising and craves for the of a bigger goal doesn’t ?

In this blog we will discuss the concept of dividing a big goal into numerous small ones. Further we will
make an effort to understand the concept of dopamine spike through achievement of a goal.

What is dopamine?

According to Cleveland clinic Dopamine

is a neurotransmitter made in your brain.
It plays a role as a “reward center” and in many body functions, including
memory, movement, motivation, mood, attention and more.
But to explain it in simple terms dopamine is a neurotransmitter that holds responsible for controlling
your happiness ,stress and other factors along with some other hormones that have the same function.

But according to Doctor Andrew Huberman :Dopamine is the hormone that motivates you to achieve
your goal.

So it means , whenever you feel like reading that book ,or writing that copy dopamine is partially
responsible for it . Accordingly everytime you achieve your goal , you have a dopamine spike that makes
you feel happy.

SO WHY DONT HAVE REGULAR FEELING OF ACHIEVEMENT RATHER THAN , A BIG SPIKE AT THE END AND
A DROP FOR THE FOLLOWING TIME?

WHY CHOOSE MOTIVATION WHEN YOU CAN HAVE THE DISCIPLINE TO CONTINUE YOUR QUEST FOR A
GREATER TIME?

HOW TO INCULCATE THIS PRINCIPLE INTO YOUR OWN LIFE?

Lets say you have a monthly income of 600 and aim for a monthly income of 2500.The goal is
exaggerated and feels unachievable for the moment . You slowly get to 800 a month and the feeling of
hopelessness and a prolonging goal puts off the burning flame in your mind. But let’s switch this up a bit.
Instead of aiming for 2500 a month from the get go, you break the goal down into small layers. You set a
reward for every layer and so the seemingly unachievable battle seems like an enjoyable ride through
the park.
