Configure ADDS on Server 2019/16/12R2

1-Install Windows Server

2-Must login with Admin Account (To enable Admin Account)

Go to run (Windows + R)

Type “lusrmgr.msc”

Double click on User

Right on Administrator

Set Password

Confirm Password

3-Logout from another and logon with administrator account

4-Logon with administrator account and disable another account

5-Change the Hostname/Computer name (To change)

Go to run (Windows +R)

Type “sysdm.cpl”

Enter the name

Click on Change

Restart the server.

Provide the static IP

1-Go to Run (Windows +R)

2-Type “ncpa.cpl”

3-Double click on Ethernet

4-Select the option “Properties”

5-Double click on “Internet Protocol Version 4(TCP/IPV4)

6-Check the following ip address:

Ip- 192.168.1.1

Subnet Mask- 255.255.255.0

Gateway-N/A

DNS- 192.168.1.1

7-Ok

8-Ok

9-Close

Turn off Firewall

1-Go to Run “Windows +R)

2-Type “Firewall.cpl”

3-Click on the fourth option “Turn windows Defender Firewall On or Off”

Private

Check on Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (Not Recommended)

Public

Check on Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (Not Recommended)

4-Ok

5-Close

Add Active Directory Domain Service(ADDS) to Server

1-Go to server Manager

2-Click on Manage

3-Click on Add Role and Features

7-Check on Active Directory Domain Services

8-Add Features

9-Next

Configure Domain
1-Go to Notification

2-Click on the Promote this server to domain controller

3-Active Directory Domain Services Configuration wizard

4-Select the deployment operations

5-Check on add a new forest

6-Enter Domain Name-Evision.com

8-Type the Directory Services Restore Mode(DSRM) Password- as your Root account password

Create a User in AD (Active Directory)

1-Go to Run (Windows +R)

2-Type “dsa.msc”

3-Click on Ok
4-On Active Directory User and Computers

5-Double click on Domain (evision.com)

6-Click on Users

7-Right click on the Outside

8-New

9-User

10- Enter the User Details Username and Password

Connect Your computer with Server

1-Active Administrator Account

2-Disable Another account

3-Logon with Administrator Account

4-Change Hostname/Computer Name- PC1

5-Change Ip address

Ip-192.168.1.2

Subnet Mask- 255.255.255.0

Gateway-192.168.1.1

DNS-192.168.1.1

6-Turn off the firewall

Select option- Turn Windows Defender Firewall on or off

Private Network

Check on Turn Off Windows Defender Firewall (Not Recommended)

Public Network

Check on Turn off Windows Defender Firewall (Not Recommended)

7-Logon with Administrator

8-Go to Run and Type sysdm.cpl

9-Go to Computer Name Tab

10-To rename this Computer or Change its domain or workgroup, click change

11-Change on Member of to- Domain

12-Enter the Domain Name (Evision.com)

13-Then click on Ok

14-Then on popup will appear where you have to Enter the name and password of an account
with permission to join domain (Means your Server Administrator Username and Password)

15-After the successful Join It will show on “Welcome to <Domain Name>”

16-Then It will ask you to Restart your PC

17-After the Restart Select the “Other User”

18-Type your Domain User Name and Password.

Here you are successfully created the DC, ADDS and Connected the client.
