Water Equipment
1. Pan and jar type-this waterer is circular in
nature, having two compartments like jar for filling
water and pan for delivering water.
2. Bell type authomatic waterer-these are made of

3. Nipple drinker- it can be used both in deep litter

 FEEDING EQUIPMENTS
1. Linear Feeder-different sizes of linear
feeder with guard are available. Linear
feeder are usualy made of galvarized iron.
However it can as well be made out any
locally available materials like wood,
bamboo, etc.
2. Circular feeder-these are semi-
authomatic feeders and can hold 5 to 7 kg
feed in its cone at atime, also called the
hanging feeders.
3. Shell gifts box-it is used to provide shel
grit to he layer birds as a supplemental
source of calcium.
4. Authomatic Feeder-feed is supplied to
the entire length of the poultry house by
specially designed feed throughs with
auger type or chain type devices to move
the feed from the feed bins to the other
end, these are operated with electricity.
Heaters/Brooders
1. It is essential that the temperature of the
poutry farm be regulated especially during
cold weather. The heateror brooder is on
equipment used in regulating and increasing
that temperature of the poultry farm. These
helps to keep the birds warm when the
weather is cold.
2. Charcoal stove/Kerosene stove-these are
used in places, where electricity is not
available or costly and where power failure is
quite common.
3. Gas brooder-natural gas, LPG or methane is
commeted to heating element which is hanged
3 to 5 feed above the chick to provide heat.
4. Reflektots/Howers-thesee are flat provided
with lenting element heating meclanisms.
