Introduction The purpose of this report is to address the current state of

living accommodation for soldiers and propose the hiring of additional
accommodation to meet the authorized levels. The BOO will cover the existing
shortfall in accommodation, the reasons why more accommodation is
necessary, and recommendations for addressing this issue.
Aim of BOO: To evaluate current authorization procedures and offer
recommendations for procuring accommodation.
2. Existing Accommodation status: The Indore is a non-military station and
the accn to personal posted in NCC units is provided by DEO Mhow. The
present accommodation available for JCOs and ORs is insufficient to meet the
authorized levels. The present levels are based on the number of personnel
posted to NCC Indore in 2020. However, due to increased authorisation for
living and limited availability of accommodation at the time of hiring we are
facing shortfall in meeting these authorized levels. This shortfall has led to
overcrowding in existing facilities and compromises the well-being and comfort
of our soldiers.

The present accommodation hired is under authorized and does not meet the
standards in terms of space and amenities.
2. Auth Accommodation: The existing living accommodation available for
soldiers is insufficient and falls short of the authorized allocation. As per the
established guidelines and regulations, the current accommodation capacity is
inadequate to house all personnel adequately.

3. Discrepancies and Shortfalls

Reasons for More Accommodation
Several reasons necessitate the hiring of additional accommodation:
Personnel Increase: The number of personnel under our command has
increased beyond the initial estimates, leading to a higher demand for
accommodation.
Quality of Life: Adequate living accommodation is crucial for maintaining the
morale, health, and overall well-being of our soldiers. Overcrowded or
substandard living conditions can have a negative impact on their performance
and morale.
The authorized allocation for living accommodation for soldiers is based on
factors such as rank, family status, and operational requirements. However, the
current infrastructure does not align with these authorized allocations, leading
to a significant shortfall.
A detailed analysis reveals that the existing accommodation facilities are
operating at maximum capacity, with many soldiers sharing rooms or
residing in temporary arrangements. This situation compromises the
comfort, privacy, and overall well-being of our personnel.
