XI. SCIOGRAPHY
Q1. In the given space arrange earthen pots of any shape and size to make an interesting looking stable composition. Draw
the composition from interesting angle and show shades and shadows on the composition.
Q2. Make an interesting three dimensional table composition by using 4 cylinders, 2 pyramids. Draw the composition from
interesting angle and show shades and shadows on the composition.
Q3. In the given space arrange three cricket balls, one cricket bat, stumps and a cricket cap to make an interesting, abstract,
stable, three dimensional composition like a still life. Also show the effect of light and shade on the objects. Your
composition should be sufficiently large to fill the drawing space.
Q4.Make a three dimensional composition with 2 bricks and 3 stones of similar size in the space provided. Also show the
effect of light and shadow on it.

Q7. You have six used automobile tires with you. Make an interesting looking sculpture using them. Draw the sculpture
with shade and shadows as viewed from one of the angles with light falling on it from other angle.
Q8. Create a stable sculpture using four cubes interlocking into each other. Some cubes may be opaque and some may be
transparent. Draw a pencil sketch of the composition and imagining light falling from one of the corners, also show

dimensional geometrical composition to create a hanging sculpture that could enhance the ceiling of child’s study
room. Draw the hanging from one interesting angle.
Q15.On your grandfather’s study desk you find there are 3 thick books, a pair of reading glasses, a magnifying glass, a table
clock and glass of drinking water lying there. You place these objects in a manner to make attractive sculpture like
composition. Draw in pencil only the composition as seen from one of the angles and also show shades and shadows
on it.
Q16. A little boy does not want to eat his breakfast. He decides to make a sculpture on his plate out of the food his mother
has given to him. He has two slices of bread, 1 whole boiled egg, 4 slices of cucumber and two biscuits. His sculpture
stands without support of his hands. Draw the sculpture. Draw shade and shadows on his sculpture if the sunlight
falls on it from the left.
