EXERCISE 2.

1 CONNECTIONS –BEAM TO BEAM (BOLTED)

A secondary beam ISLB350@495N/m is connected to web of a main beam ISMB500@809N/m using framing angles of size ISA150*115*10mm,
The top flanges of beams are at the same level. Connection between web of secondary beam to framing angles using 4 bots of 20mm diameter and connection
between web of main beam to the framing angle using 4 bots of 20mm diameter, calculate pitch and edge distance as per the IS CODE requirement and prepare
cross section and sectional elevation details.
EXERCISE 2.2. CONNECTIONS –BEAM TO BEAM (WELDED)
A secondary beam ISLB350@495N/m is connected to web of a main beam ISMB500@809N/m using framing angles of size ISA150*115*10mm,
The top flanges of beams are at the same level. Connection between web of secondary beam to framing angles using 5mm fillet weld and connection between
web of main beam to the framing angle using 5mm fillet weld, calculate pitch and edge distance as per the IS CODE requirement and prepare cross section and
sectional elevation details.
EXERCISE 2.3 CONNECTIONS –BEAM TO BEAM (BOLTED,FALNGES ARE AT DIFFERENT LEVEL)

A secondary beams ISMB 300 IS CONNCETED TO THE web of a main beam ISMB 400@61.6Kg/m. The top flanges of beams are at the
diffrent level. Secondary beam is at 50 mm lower compare to main beam , Connection of beam ISMB 300 to framing angles using 22mm dia of 3
bolts , Connection of beam ISMB 400 and graming angles using 6 Nos 22mm dia bolt with 64 mm pitch Connection of main beam , Connection
using framing angle ISA 100*100*6mm
EXERCISE 2.4 CONNECTIONS –BEAM TO COLUMN (BOLTED CONNETION)
A Beam ISMB 400@604N/m is connected to a column ISHB450@907N/m using a seat angle of size ISA100*100*10mm and
cleat angle of size ISA 75 x75 x6 mm using following details.
