Essay: Is it worth learning a foreign language?

It is a well known fact that studying a foreign language is a very important

way to improve ourselves and to know about the cultures, customs and
facts of other countries and societies. It is worth to learn a foreign language
not only for working; but also for travelling or for communication with
other people around the world .
First, learning a foreign language, for example English, is a big gate to the
future of work. As we know, more and more often we are asked foreign
languages to get better jobs, better opportunities to be promoted in our
jobs or to get a better pay too.In most careers at university a foreign
language is required to prepare the students to the world of work.
Secondly, learning a foreign language is a motivating way for travelling; to
know about other countries, to know their cultures, to compare the way
they live with our own life and also to know about their geography; all
these points encourage people to the world of travelling . Learning a
foreign language whet us to travel around the world. At
this point, speaking a foreign language is capital, as we can enjoy the
incredible experience of using “this” language among natives.
Finally I think that communicating with others around the world it's a good
way for learning a foreign language because it helps us widen our minds;
the more we read, the more culture we get; learning about other countries
not only helps us improve our vocabulary, phonetics and so on but also
it broadens our mind , and change the way we face life. We can use writing
by email, or simply talk by skipe or other ways of communication.
Nowadays there are various possibilities to let us communicate with people
from around the world.
In conclusion it is worth learning a foreign language because there are so
many thing we can improve doing it; we can, not only get better jobs and
bigger possibilities but also we can improve our inner and I think this
is the most important thing; because we never stop learning when
travelling or sharing experiences with people from around the world.
