HYPERMARKET (HY) - Vast self-service warehouse-cum-retail outlet that combines the features of a supermarket, department store, discount
store, and specialty store in one location.
SUPERMARKET (SU)- A large store that have 3 or more working check-out counters that sells a variety of food, personal care and household
items to customers.
DEPARTMENT STORE (DE) - Large retail establishment with an extensive assortment in variety and range of goods, organized into separate
departments. All departments are housed under the same roof to facilitate buying, customer service, merchandising, and control.
GROCERY STORE (GR) - Supermarket-like outlet but carries a smaller range of food, personal care and household items. It also has 1-2
working check-out counters or cash registers.
CONVENIENCE STORE (CV) - It is a type of store selling a limited variety of both cooked & uncooked food usually open 24 hours for the
convenience of customers.
DRUGSTORE (DR) - Primarily sells drugs, medicines and other health and first-aid products. May also carry food, personal care and household
items.
PERSONAL CARE STORE (PE) - Establishments that primarily carry personal care products including specialist beauty stores/kiosks, boutiques,
perfumes, beauty salons and hairdressing salons.
DIRECT SALES (DI) - Products are sold directly to the consumers and away from a fixed retail location through in-home product
demonstrations, parties, and one-on-one selling with the aid of brochures or other materials.
SARI-SARI STORES (SSS) - Small independent “owner run” neighborhood stores, also known as variety stores. It doesn’t have any counters,
has a sales attendant which sells products per piece
MARKET STALLS (MS) - These are sari-sari stores within the market building.
ONLINE / INTERNET (OL) – Products are ordered through the internet & paid via credit cards or any agreed payment channels. Purchases are
delivered to your home or picked-up on the agreed place.
OTHERS:
ROLLING STORES - Mobile stalls on motor vehicle with 2-4 wheels
PEDDLERS - Ambulant vendor or mobile stalls in pushcarts or bikes.
BAKERY - Food establishment that primarily sells baked products made of flour such as bread, cookies, etc.
GIFTS - Goods received from friends,relatives, etc.
BOUTIQUE - A small company that sells specific services or products.
GAS STATION OUTLETS - A type of store usually found within the gasoline station.
SPECIALTY STORE - Type of store that sells only one kind of merchandise.
