• Color-changing ability: They can change color in response to various things
including temperature, light, and motional state. This can help with

• Prehensive Tail: This adaptation helps chameleons navigate through their

the same time. It gives them an advantage by having a wide view and spotting

• Advanced Vision: They have the most complex and advanced vision

• Powerful Strikes: They have powerful attachments called "raptorial

and breaking open shells. This can be an advantage for easily
breaking the exoskeletons of their prey, making them a deadly
predator.
Adaptation 3:
• Hunting strategies: They use their attachments or appendages to
strike prey with force. They patiently wait for the right moment to
attack their prey.

Biome: Geographic Range & Habitat:
• Mostly live in shallow parts of the ocean, usually at the depths of
30-100ft. They are native to the epipelagic seabed across the Indo-Pacific,
ranging from Guam to East Africa, and as far South as Northern

Diet and Trophic Level:
• They can kill prey larger than itself and typically feeds on gastropods,
crabs and mollusks. They are carnivores that feed on primary consumers
or herbivores.
