March 2023 - onwards

• Successfully planned and taught phonics, art, building, and gardening to two
classes of 14 students, age of 5 (Switching classes).
• Took part in “Zany days” to do various activities given every week, building
a strong bond with the students and making sure the kids are enjoying.

• Translated Zany Day announcements and teacher meetings from English


to Korean and Korean to English every week to bridge between Korean
teachers and homeroom teachers in communicating.

• Planned and had the students be involved in making crafts for classroom
decorations as part of the lessons.

• Wrote report cards every semester for the students to take home, and held
parent meetings in English. Head of school would be in the room to
translate my feedback to the parents.

• Helped homeroom teachers planning lessons by communicating.

• Communicated with parents everyday to feedback on the students’


behaviour or any announcements given. Held parents meeting on line for
the second semester on each students behaviours, eating habits,

• Made crafts as a team with other Korean teachers for the biggest event,
Halloween and orientation. The kindergarten raised more than 100M for
donation from orientation day.

Science, grammar, and writing teacher
July 2021 – September 2021

• Successfully planned primary science, grammar and writing lessons for


students of age 5-7. The lessons were 50 minutes each with 8 students in each
class.

• Taught and planned a summer extensive programme, teaching grammar and


sets of English vocabulary to students of age 5-9.

• Communicated with English speaking teachers to pass the message on to


Korean speaking parents. Held parent meetings along with native English
teachers.

• Planned and taught English pronunciation lessons for students of age range 6-
13. Each lessons were 1hr 30mins, with three lesson periods every day with
28 students in each class.

• Supervised the lesson for the students to individually present to the teachers
every lesson.

• Taught and explained grammar for students older than 11, and their lessons
were organized to work on both pronunciation and grammar

• Took part in Winter extensive programme for these students, where their
lessons were for longer.

• Developed communication skills with parents. Held parent meetings every


evening after class via phone and zoom to resolve any questions they have
and reported back with feedback of their child once a month at least.

Peer Assisted Study Sessions part time leader
October 2020 – December 2020

• Facilitated study sessions twice every week for academic or social assistance for
new students to the university. The sessions were held online via Blackboard.

• Arranged meetings every week with PASS partner to plan sessions and to
arrange the study sessions with students. Sessions contained with topics such
as how to use citations correctly, help and advice to write academic essays.

• Built relationships with students to help them study better with more resources
(both offline and online), especially when they couldn’t go to school due to
COVID-19.

• Fed back every lesson to PASS mentors, who gave feedback to us about how the
lesson can be improved. These developed communication skills and helped
reflecting back on the sessions.

• Conducted reading sessions in the morning from 10am to 10.30am. Went


through vocabularies students didn’t understand in storybooks, to help
them understand the story better.

• Assisted teaching in a classroom with a group of 25 young students, age of 5-


11, every Saturday from 10am to 3pm. The teaching contained of Korean
language and culture.

• Created materials to make words from vocabulary learnt, such as drawing


umbrellas and making them 3D with coloured papers. Also helped teachers
arrange cultural making sessions such as making traditional kites.

• Organised traditional events such as ‘hanbok day’, which is wearing


traditional dresses on the day.

• We successfully wrote the script ourselves, edited, produced and

• I have participated in the IPPF essay debate as a team with around 300
teams around the world. We wrote 3 essays in total. Entrance essay, top
64, and top 32. We enhanced teamwork while writing and developing
our arguments. Our writing skills improved when writing group essays.

• The topic was “Resolved: International climate accords for greenhouse gas
emissions should adopt binding enforcement mechanisms.”

should outweigh a government's right to control its borders.”
