Modules studied
Units studied include: Pedagogies for Social Justice, Globalisation and Education,
Psychology and individual differences, Policy and Research in Education.
• Successfully planned and taught phonics, art, building, and gardening to two
classes of 14 students, age of 5 (Switching classes).
• Took part in “Zany days” to do various activities given every week, building
a strong bond with the students and making sure the kids are enjoying.
• Planned and had the students be involved in making crafts for classroom
decorations as part of the lessons.
• Wrote report cards every semester for the students to take home, and held
parent meetings in English. Head of school would be in the room to
translate my feedback to the parents.

September 2022 - February 2023
• Made crafts as a team with other Korean teachers for the biggest event,
Halloween and orientation. The kindergarten raised more than 100M for
donation from orientation day.
• Planned and taught English pronunciation lessons for students of age range 6-
13. Each lessons were 1hr 30mins, with three lesson periods every day with
28 students in each class.
• Supervised the lesson for the students to individually present to the teachers
every lesson.
• Taught and explained grammar for students older than 11, and their lessons
were organized to work on both pronunciation and grammar
• Took part in Winter extensive programme for these students, where their
lessons were for longer.
• Facilitated study sessions twice every week for academic or social assistance for
new students to the university. The sessions were held online via Blackboard.
• Arranged meetings every week with PASS partner to plan sessions and to
arrange the study sessions with students. Sessions contained with topics such
as how to use citations correctly, help and advice to write academic essays.
• Built relationships with students to help them study better with more resources
(both offline and online), especially when they couldn’t go to school due to
COVID-19.
• Fed back every lesson to PASS mentors, who gave feedback to us about how the
lesson can be improved. These developed communication skills and helped
reflecting back on the sessions.
• Taught English Literature to a year 9 GCSE student to help them acquire more
knowledge and build confidence in their essay writing skills.
• Assisted learning for students of age 4-12 in Bible lessons at Korean Church in
Bahrain.
• Taught children with hymns and dance to help students access hymns easier
and in a more fun way.
• Elected to help year 3 students to read and write by peer 6th form students.
• Conducted reading and writing sessions twice every week, for 30 minutes
before school lessons start in the morning. Reading and writing materials
were given by the form teacher according to the student’s reading level.
• Fed back to Teaching and Learning committee leader of lessons every month,
and communicating with the student’s form tutor about the progress.
• Explained menus to customers who were not familiar with Korean dishes,
helping them understand easily and make comfortable choices.
• Trained new staff to the restaurant, helping them understand well and
resolving any problems or questions they have.
• The topic was “Resolved: International climate accords for greenhouse gas
emissions should adopt binding enforcement mechanisms.”
• The topic was “Resolved: The obligation to provide safe haven for refugees
should outweigh a government's right to control its borders.”
