PROTECTION

I. NARRATIVE REPORT
Binarsang Elementary School is steadfast and strong as it faces the challenges of
educational transformation by implementing the K-12 Basic Education Curriculum. The
school adopts a learner-centered culture that fosters fairness, respect, and caring to
facilitate learning and constantly keeps up with local and worldwide trends of time. In
order to improve learning, Binarsang Elementary School consistently implements
policies, guidelines, and procedures as standards and activities to monitor and follow.
This helps to provide a safe, secure, and equitable learning environment.
The school engages in a variety of activities to make sure that each student is
given equal rights and protection. These are the (1) execution of School Policies and
Guidelines and implementation of Child Protection Policy, (2) symposium about Learners

Before the opening of classes last August 22, 2022, Binarsang Elementary School
conducted an Orientation on the School Policies and guidelines. This was done during
the General PTA Meeting. Child Protection Policy and Anti bullying policy were also
discussed to learners regularly especially on Mondays during the Flag rites. Also, PTA
appointed stakeholders who will serve as CPC Officers to see and ensure the protection
of each learners.
Second, the Symposium about Learners Rights and Protection was also conducted
which led to the appointment of YES-O Officers. YES-O Officers serves as marshals in
ensuring the safety of each learners. The officers implement different policies like the
prohibition of littering and bullying in the school.
Next, Project MELONIE ( Making Every Learner an Overcomer and Nice Individual
amidst the Effect of Pandemic ) was made where Psychosocial Support Activities keeps
on in the school. With the complex impacts of pandemic, Binarsang ES staff made ways
to meet the learners where they are as they work towards learning continuity while
prioritizing learners' recovery towards enhanced well-being.
Ensuring zero (0 )drop out rate to learners, Project AKAP( Anak, Kumusta Ang
Pag-aaral) was also established. This project was made to remove barriers to education
and ensure all learners have the chance to pursue schooling by the help of all the
stakeholders in the community.
Learners have also the right to be free from discrimination within the educational
environment. Binarsang Elementary School created an inclusive atmosphere where
diversity is respected and celebrated. Discrimination based on gender, ethnicity, religion,
sexual orientation or disability is not tolerated. That is why Project GLORIA was
constructed. It is a project focused on promoting gender equality and inclusive education
for learners in Binarsang Elementary School. The project aims to create a safe and
supportive learning environment that fosters the development of all learners regardless
of gender, and to empower learners to challenge gender stereotypes and discrimination.
In conclusion, promoting and protecting learners’ rights is crucial for creating an
inclusive and nurturing educational environment. Access to education,
nondiscrimination, safety and participation are key pillars in safeguarding the rights of
learners. It is the responsibility of educational institutions, policymakers, teachers,
parents and the broader community to work together to ensure that all learners are
provided with a safe, supportive and empowering learning environment where the rights
of all learners are respected and protected.
