LEARNING CONTINUITY PLAN


S.Y. 2021-2022
A. Home-based Learning Programs
1. Little Einstein Discovery School (LEDS) will continue with its Online Distance Learning and Offline
Distance Learning programs for S.Y. 2021-2022.
a. Online Distance Learning: The use of the Internet and technological tools to deliver
instruction by the teachers via video conferencing.
b. Offline Distance Learning: The use of printed resources for teaching and learning by the
parent or guardian at home.
2. LEDS will officially start the school year on August 2, 2021 based on the Department of
Education’s guidelines and directives.

B. School Policies
In general, rules and regulations stated in our Student Handbook, Anti-Bullying, Communications, and
Data Protection policies last S.Y. 2020-2021 will still apply. A digital copy of these will be sent to parents’
e-mail at the beginning of S.Y. 2021-2022.

C. Basic Education Curriculum


The school adheres to the Department of Education’s matrix of the Most Essential Learning
Competencies (MELC). This is defined by the Department as, “what the students need, considered
indispensable, in the teaching-learning process to building skills to equip learners for subsequent grade
levels and subsequently, for lifelong learning.”

2. Mode of Learning Delivery


a. Online Learning Program
Students who are enrolled in the Online Learning Program follows a daily, fixed schedule of
classes provided by the school. The specific class schedule for each grade level will be
determined on or before the first week of August. The school complies with age-
appropriate screen times recommended by healthcare experts and guidelines from DM-CI-
2020-00162. A technology training for both parents and students will be held before classes
open!

b. Offline Learning Program


Parents and guardians set their own schedule of teaching and learning with their children at
home based on their preference and availability.
3. Textbooks and Paper Learning Packets
For both home-based learning programs, the textbooks remain the major source of information
and exercises for lessons across learning areas. In addition, paper learning packets are activities
that further extend students’ practice of the learning competencies. These activities are printed
for students who are enrolled in the Offline Learning Program and for students in Pre-
Kindergarten and Kindergarten. These are scheduled for distribution every grading period.

For the elementary students who are enrolled in the Online Learning Program, Paper Learning
Packets are not required to be printed. These are made into digital files that can be accessed
through our learning platform, GENYO e-learning.

2. Weekly Home Learning Plan


The Weekly Home Learning Plan identifies the learning competencies in the textbook that will
be covered in one quarter. Parents whose children are enrolled in the Online Learning Program
can use this to monitor their children’s learning progress. On the other hand, parents whose
children are enrolled in the Offline Learning Program must uses this as their curriculum guide.

3. Grading and Assessment


The school adheres to DepEd Order No. 031, Series of 2020 for the assessment of student learning
and the grading scheme.

The schedule is subject to change without prior notice. Please expect the final schedule on or before
August 2, 2021.

Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten


For S.Y. 2021-2022, all learning activities such as distribution of paper learning packets, submission
of requirements, grading and assessment, and storage of schoolwork will be coursed through Google
Classroom. The official video conferencing tool is Google Meet.
Grades 1 to 6
For S.Y. 2021-2022, all learning activities such as distribution of paper learning packets, submission
of requirements, grading and assessment, and storage of schoolwork will be coursed through GENYO
e-learning. The official video conferencing tool is Zoom.

F. Extra-Curricular and Virtual Club Activities


National and local celebrations such as Linggo ng Wika, United Nations, Foundation Day, and many more
will be integrated in the different learning areas for both Online and Offline Learning Programs.
Academic competitions such as Academic Quiz Bees, Spelling Bee, Declamation Contest, etc. will also be
implemented via video conferencing and through the use of available online tools for the Online Learning
Program only.

Further, students will be joining clubs that are interesting for them. The primary objective of the virtual
club is to provide students with an environment where they could be creative with their peers. As they
share their common interests, they collaborate, exchange ideas, and learn teamwork and leadership
skills while they enjoy friendly social interaction.

H. Remedial/Intervention Program
In partnership with the College of Education of Our Lady of Fatima University, the program is offered for
free for students who are struggling in Math and English.

I. Guidance and Counselling Services


Individual online counselling sessions (mental health, peer pressure, etc.) for students in grade levels 4
to 6 will be available and may be scheduled with our faculty members.
