Possible Roadblock? - Internet Access for all
students

Discussion: Do our students have the resources to

connect to the internet if they are expected to be
remote learners?

While various companies work with schools to

provide a hotspot for students, Kajeet, T-Mobile,
and Verizon have been working with districts on
providing students access to close the homework
gap.
Device Availability
● We have classroom Chrome carts that have enough 1:1
Chromebooks for all students at OMS.

Discussion:

Would you want to send

Chromebooks home for your grade
level?

Do we disassemble the carts to send

them home?
Setting expectations
We need to decide what works best for us and communicate the expectations to both students and
parents.
Keep expectations in check
make sure due dates and expectations are clearly expressed in writing
Communicating clear due dates with submission deadlines is extremely important to assist teachers
and students in planning for their remote learning days.
We need to keep students on a regular school schedule, with starting and ending periods as students
move from classroom to classroom online.
Remote Learning
Module learning
