Additional Technical parameters of products/ work
1 PWD specifications for Electrical works -2012 (as amended upto date ), relevent IS
codes, National Building Code / National Lighting Code / National electric Code / Indian
Electricty Rules ( all as amended upto date ) shall be treated as part of this Electric
BSR-2021 for the purpose of detailed specifications & clarifications, if any. Henceforth
this BSR-2021 shall be considered as part of all contracts/ agrements, controversy /
dispute in interpretation of BSR -2021.
2 The mode of measurment of wiring and method of work execution shall be uniform &
strictly as laid down in PWD specification for electrical works 2012 in general and for
genuine work practice.
3 All Items including Makes & Models must be approved in writing before / at the time of
layout by Engineer-in-Charge as per specifications with additional standard warranty
proof of OEM beyond one year gaurantee for complete item or its part of product [For
eg. Standard warranty period of complete electric geyser is 2 years while inner tank &
element have five year & four year in market ] Engineer incharge should ensure to give
preferance to the product which have maximum warranty of OEM among available
options in market, so department can avail benifit of standard warranty facility for
betterment of work as and when required. This approval letter should be enclosed in
every work agreement file .

5 Any Items can be send for testing by Engineer-in-Charge in any NABL accredited/
CPRI/ERDA /Other approved Lab. Payment of testing charge shall be made by
department for that. Contractor is liable to make all necessary arrangement to send the
sample & get reports from lab, no extra payment shall be made to contractor for this
arrangement.
6 Testing Lab for above must be selected after written consent of Engineer-in-Charge.
7 Contractor should submit minimum one year valid gaurentee certificate of OEM & Liable
product genuineness certificate ( purchase proof) from OEM/ Authorised Dealer for such
products like :- modular & non modular, copper conductor, PVC and steel conduit, Sheet
steel/MS/GI/PVC boxes, MCB, DBs, panel accessories (meters/switches/ relays),
ACBS, MCCBS/ LT & HT cables, Gel Earthing, Ceiling fan, Exhaust fan, fresh air fan,
wall mounting fan, Inner tank of storage water heater- geyser, LED lighting- Indoor &
Outdoor, Air conditioners compressor & PCB, Transformer, Fire pump, Engine, Fire
extingushers, fire detectors, High mast pole & Other major item etc. which uses at site
as per tender. Contractor should furnish a commitment letter for after sales service
support of product to department till minimum next five years.
8 Appropriate/ Routine type Test Certificates/ reports related to IS code with liable
standard warranty proof / certificate of product from OEM shall be submitted by
contractor during/ at the time of execution & should be verified by Engineer-in-Charge
about the fulfillment of all required test certificates/ reports as per IS code.
9 All hidden items during execution like – roof conduiting, cable laying, earthing etc must
be in presence of engineer-in-charge or site engineer. GPS Photo be attach at the time
of measurment of such items by officers for ensuring the genuine work practice.
10 Engineer-in-Charge must ensure the quality of product as per specifications to be used
at site by means of testing / inspection / lab visit/ OEM Certificate. If engineer-in-charge
finds the product used by contractor inferior in quality then they can immediately stop
the work & bidder must change the item after getting approval from engineer-in- charge.
11 Engineer-in-Charge must ensure that all items used from any particular chapter of this
BSR for any individual project, should be of same brand which is approved before
execution as per availability. For example DB & accessories, pannel accessories, wiring
accessories, fan and fixtures, LAN all passive copper & fiber components and other
chapters etc.
12 Circulars & amendments issue time to time by Chief Engineer's office, PWD, Rajasthan,
Jaipur with regards to Electric BSR-2021 & electric works shall form the part of RUIDP
SOR-2022.

13 All ISI/ BIS/ ISO/ NABL/ ERDA/ CPRI/ ESTA or other certified products in this BSR are
subject to condition of valid certification from these agencies, otherwise use of the
specific product in this BSR will automatically be cancelled for corresponding project.
