1. PRINCIPLE

Ammonia determination is based on a coloured complex between NH4+ ion, salicylate and chlorine in
basic conditions. The pH at the colorimeter cell must be near 12,6. Colorimetric measures are performed
at 660 nm.

2. REAGENTS

R1 Reagent H2O
Ready to use reagent

R2 Reagent NHA
Ready to use reagent

R3 Reagent NHB
Ready to use reagent

Standards:

Calibration can be done from a stock solution at 20 mg / L NH4 in distilled water.

Measurement Range: The test is developed to determine the nitrite concentration of 1 to 20
mg / L (NH4) according to AMS programming.

Accuracy: Under the test conditions described above, the accuracy of the measurement is 5% on
a control solution

Test procedure: For programming on a PLC, programming is available on request.

Manual use: Consult us for the test protocol.

Storage instruction and stability of reagents: The reagents are stable until the expiration
date indicated, if stored at 2-8 ° C.
Caution: Do not swallow. Avoid contact with skin and mucous membranes.

Quality control: Not available
