1. PREPARATION
Referred to the preparatory process is to prepare equipment and supplies prior to
check and test, for checking the results of the joint material and products ( FRP
Pipe )
Equipment that needs to be prepared among others :
- Drawing.
- Measuring Instrument.
= Color Marker.
~ Testing Equipment.
~ Form Inspection ( PTI form No: 7.5.1-18, 7.5.1-19, 7.5.1-17).
A. Drawing.
Before checking and testing drawing prepared beforehand and Isometric Layout
as a reference that the installation and correct the joint product ( FRP Pipe ) in
accordance with the drawing, :
B. Measuring Instrument.
‘Necessary measure to check the dimensions distance and elevation of the
Joint product. Measuring instrument used as a tape roll, sigmat, water
pass, etc,
C. Marker
Marker used to mark and identify materials and products after checking
and testing done. While color markers used to mark when a discrepancy
is found HLU joint quality for corrective action is then performed on the

2, CHECKING PROSEDURE
Checking process is to ensure that the product meets specified standards. Checks
carried out include among others things :
= Checking the joint material.
~ Checking product that will joint,
= Checking the results of joint products,
- Final Checks.
A. Checking the joint material.
Before it is used for the joint HLU, then the first material to be used by the QC
check. These checks are intended to ensure and guarantee that the material to be
used in accordance with predetermined specifications. Checks carried out a
visual materials include spec, type of material, material Cortificate,
Manufacturing date, expired date, lot number and physical condition of material.
B, Checking Product that will joint.
Joint Product will first be checked and identified by QC . This is intended to
avoid installation errors.
C. Checking the results of Joint Products.
Checking the results of the joint is checked visually and using a measuring
instrument, Checking is done to ensure the results of the joint has been
accordance with the standards set.
- Viswally Check.
‘After checked is performed to determine the quality of the results by looking
laminate joint physical condition directly.
~ Checking the measuring Instrument.
‘After checked visually and the results are good then followed by a check using a
‘measuring instrument. This is done to ensure that the position, dimensions,
distance, and elevation of the product (FRP Pipe ) in accordance drawing joint.
D. Final Checks.
Final Inspection done after the product is finished to install. The goa! is to ensute *
that all installed correctly refers to the applicable drawing.

3. TESTING PROCEDURES
- Testing of the pressure test done. Testing is conducted with the aim to find the leak and
‘the strength of operational pressures both at the joint and the overall installation,
- After visually checking the results of the joint, then followed by using a pressure tester
testing.
Procedure Process Including a pressure test :
- Holes in the screw joint firs.
- Fill with water until it flly through the holes that have been available.
= Nipple input on that hole in the screw and plug.
~ Tighten the nut with a pass key 50 as not to leak.
~ Pressure tester pumped from 0 up to 4 bar, hold for 10.
= Check visual, whether there is leakage .
= Add pressure until 7 bar and hold during 15 minute.
= Look the pressure gauge and make sure there is no pressure drop.
~ Again raise the pressure until it reaches 10 bar and hold during 30 ininute.
~ Check visual and make sure there is no leakage and decrease pressure on the the gauge
pressure.
= Lower the pressure until 0 again with open drain on the pressure tester.
= Noted the results of testing on PTI form No.: 7.5.1-17.
“After all piping is complete plug and pressure test will be returned as the end of the
entire series checking and testing, Testing is done by filling the water up to full
‘installation with water pump pipe. Further providing pressure to move or less the same
as when the pressure test the joint.
4, DOCUMENTATION
‘Any conduct checks and testing phase must inform both the customer and WIKA with
the same power plant to witness testing, When finished QC will check and record the
results of testing on the form that had been prepared. To then approved by customer as
the evidence that the customer has approved the results of checks carried out. Record is
then stored as documentation.
