Practical case study of the Brazilian system

Solution This system is based on the Brazilian system data in 2037 of the Empresa de
methodology
proposal Pesquisa Energética (EPE) that interconnects 8 states such as Parana, São Paulo,
Mathematical Minas Gerais, Goiás Bahia, Piauı́, Paraiba, Rio Grande do Norte and Ceará,

Test systems
consisting 11 thermal units, 21 hydro units, 13 wind farms, 2 nuclear units, 17
solar units, 190 transmission lines, and 108 buses. The 78.09 GW loads and 78.09
GW generation units on the Brazilian system are included.
