Pinoy Games

1.) Trip to Jerusalem


Trip to Jerusalem, also known as “musical chairs,” involves players walking around a circle of
chairs while music plays.

Rules and Mechanics:


1. Players go around and round a bunch of chairs while music plays in the background.
2. When the music stops, each kid must sit on a chair.
3. There is always one less chair than the number of children, so whoever doesn't have a seat is
sadly eliminated.
4. s a participant, you need to compete with other players until you’ll be the last one standing,
and then get an item or a prize once you’ve won the game.

2.) Hampas Palayok


Hampas-Palayok (also known as Pukpok Palayok) is a fun game played during Filipino fiestas
and traditional parties. Hampas Palayok is to Filipinos what Hit the Piñata is to Mexicans.

Rules and Mechanics:


1. Each child is blindfolded, given a bat, and led to a hanging palayok chock full of goodies like
lollipops and chocolate coins.
2. Players should be blindfolded. They will fall in line around 3 meters away in front of the
hanging clay pot, enough for the player to reach it and will walk straight towards the pot.
3. A long bamboo or lumber is used to hit it. Participants are made to spin around to distort
his/her concentration.

3.) Bring Me
A classic Filipino party game for all ages.

Rules and Mechanics:


1. The game master calls out an item or description, and players race to find and bring that item
to the game master.
2. The first player to successfully bring the item wins a point.
3. The player with the most points at the end of the game wins.

4. The Boat is Sinking


The participants are given the premise that the imaginary boat they are on is sinking and
therefore have to form groups to make it to safety.

Rules and Mechanics:


1. The game master announces, “The boat is sinking! Group yourselves into (a specific
number).”
2. Players must quickly form groups of the specified number.
3. Those who fail to join a group are eliminated.

5. Newspaper Dance
This activity addresses core strengthening, motor planning, and ideation by having the child
stand on a newspaper page (or paper bag) at all times.

Rules and Mechanics:


1. Pairs of players must dance on a single sheet of newspaper while the music plays.
2. When the music stops, they must fold the newspaper in half, and continue dancing on the
smaller surface.
3. The last pair still dancing on their newspaper wins.
