Third Paragraph: Write the second problem related to the topic of your research that
may have existed that may be in one way or another.

Write in this portion the problems you need to answer in your research, such as
the profile of the respondents and the matters you need to solve or find a solution.
The Statement of the problem becomes your guide on what you want to discover
in your study. For example, if you intend to find all the challenges that the grade 10
students face in doing their modules, your statement of the problem might be written like

this, “What are the challenges that students face in the modular modality in terms of
answering their modules?”.

Conceptual Framework
This is the visual presentation of how the researchers view the whole research. Using a
graphic organizer, show the flow of the research. This diagram is called the Input Process
Output
Write inside the first box the input of the researchers such as the variables. Then on the
second box, write the processes that the research conducted to respond to the problem
statement. The last box contains the result that the researchers are expecting after the
process was done.

Scope and Limitation
This is the part where the researcher writes the scope and the limitations of research in
terms of the researcher’s capacity and the research’s target and boundary.
First Paragraph: Start the paragraph with the line “The scope of this study is” then
proceed on what is the general scope of the study. This is just the repetition of the general
statement of the problem followed by the specific objectives of the research.

Second Paragraph: This is the part that states the things that the research cannot do
because it is not the focus of the research. This may also state what are the related topics
but were not included because of the researcher’s limitations. The reasons for not
including these things will have to be explained. One reason that could be given is time
constraint, unavailability of technology, difficulty of collecting data (if the population is
large), and financial constraints.

Definition of Terms
Collect all the terms that were essential in the research. Arrange them in alphabetical
order and indent each word being defined. Define words as how they are used in the
research. The term should be in bold letters followed by a period then the operational
definition. Follow this sample below:

METHODOLOGY
This chapter consists of the method of research used, the subjects of the study, the data
gathering procedure, the data gathering instruments, and the statistical treatment of data.
METHOD OF RESEARCH
This part will explain the design of research used in your study e.g Quantitative,
Qualitative, or Mixed Method. This answers why the method used is appropriate for the
study. Briefly describe the research design and approach you will be using supported by
references.
Example: This research will use the mixed methods design. This research method uses
both quantitative and qualitative methods. This will help the researchers
understand…(continue)

___________.
This part will describe your respondents. It answers the following questions: Who or what
will be the sample for your study?; Why did you choose this/these sample/s?; How many?;
How will you select your sample?
Example:
The participants of the study were the thirty 30 randomly selected frustration readers

This part will narrate the process undergone by the study that eventually leads to the
findings.

All checklists and survey questionnaires were administered and retrieved personally by
the researchers.
This part will show the statistical treatment that you will use which includes your sampling
method and formulas. Statistical treatment of data involves the use of statistical methods
such as: mean, mode, median, and the like.
Example: The statistical tools used in this study are the following:
