THE FROG OF TITICACA/ LA RANA DEL TITICACA

This is a very special frog. To begin with, it is not amphibious, it is strictly aquatic and, since it
never comes out of the water, it does not
need lungs.

CHARACTERISTICS:
✓ He has no gills.
✓ The frogs of Lake Titicaca are large and can be about 25 centimeters long.
✓ They have many folds in the skin along the abdomen, legs, stomach and neck.
✓ Its coloration can be varied, from olive green with a peach-colored belly, and gray to black, even
stains on the back. Some are even completely black.

will work in groups (maximum 3) to plan a similar video about an endangered animal in
Peru.

IDEAS:
 The Lake Titicaca frog is an
endangered species and there are 205
species between Peru and Bolivia
 The gradual destruction of those natural
habitats means that there are increasingly
more animals in danger of extinction.
Therefore, it is our obligation to conserve
this species.
 it is necessary to inform and learn about
these species of extinction in Peru and and
avoid any legal sale of these animals

measures of knowledge about

ACTIVIDADES
 We should protect animals in
danger of becoming extinct.
 Conserve and keep clean their habitat,

because many sell it for its skin
