this segment. These several iterations of the underlying
principles were developed through a series of process
sketches and models.

In Kamati Baug, Vadodara, the crèche is inspired by the
nearby Planetarium. The design keeps things simple, fol-
lowing basic rules like how paths are laid out, what stands
out the most, and the main axis of the building. Taking
a cue from the Planetarium, the crèche uses square and
round frames, making the design fit in with its cosmic
neighbor. These frames, created by putting together two
shapes, not only look interesting but also show a connec-
DESIGN INTENT tion to the space-inspired setting. By using these frames,
the crèche feels more open and gives visitors a big and im-
pressive experience. With a nod to basic design rules and a
touch of celestial influence, the crèche in Kamati Baug be-
comes more than a childcare center; it becomes a harmoni-
ous blend of thoughtful design and contextual inspiration,
inviting visitors into a space that echoes the celestial won-
ders just beyond its walls.
