Ex 1:
The provided bar chart compares statistical data on spare time enjoyed by males
and females in a typical week, according to their gender and employment status in
the years 1998 and 1999.
As is observed from the chart, the number of leisure hours spent during
retirement and unemployment for people was highest when compared with other groups.
In particular, men enjoyed more free time hours per week than women over the given
chart.
The data clearly shows that there was an equivalent amount of hours in the
retired and unemployed categories. Roughly 79 hours were spent on weekly
recreational activities by women, while the figure for those of the opposite sex in
the same groups were about 10 hours more.
Interestingly, the employed part-time group only recorded women figures at
approximately 40 hours. Likewise, the housewives had around 50 hours every single
week to kill their time during the period shown. Regarding the full-time employed
people, men had about 45 hours of leisure time on average per week compared to 38
hours for women.

Ex 2:
The given bar chart illustrates information about the share of the total global
inhabitants in four countries, namely India, China, the USA and Japan in 1950 and
2003, as well as indicates the expectation for 2050
In general, It is noticeable that the inhabitants of China and India made up the
highest percentage, while the opposite was true for the USA and Japan.
Additionally, India’s population is predicted to increase sharply and surpass China
to become the most populous country over the period.
As per the chart, China had the highest percentage which was just over a
quarter. The figure decreased to about 24% in 2003 and by 2050, the anticipated
shows that there will be a dramatic drop to about 19% in the number of China’s
population. By contrast, Japan accounted for the lowest proportion compared with 4
countries, which was 5% in 1950. This rate is forecast to experience a slight
decline from 4% in 2003 to 3% in 2025.
Regarding India and the USA, 15% was the proportion of India’s inhabitants in
1950, which was two-thirds the rate of citizens in the USA. In 2003, both India and
the USA saw an increase gradually, was about 19% and around 13%, respectively. By
2050, India’s residents is expected to continue to grow by approximately 2% whereas
the USA is estimated to maintain the figure of 13%.
