JJ & MADS Thrifty Way Pharmacy Incorporated will open its doors to a wide range of
customers. From customers who seek to have a healthy lifestyle to customers who require
their prescription medication be compounded in a certain way.
Competition:
Apotheca Integrative Pharmacy pioneered specialty compounding pharmacy in the
Philippines. They offer a wide range of inexpensive products such as custom-made
medicines, bio-identical and natural hormone replacement therapies, pain, diabetic or
special medication. Located at Legazpi Village, Makati, Metro Manila, Philippines, this
company has been operating since 2014.
SWOT Analysis:
If we must achieve the goals we have set for this business, we should make sure that we
set the business on a firm foundation. We should follow due process in putting up the
pharmacy store.
We have conducted a SWOT analysis to help in structuring the business. Here is the
summary of the SWOT analysis we conducted.
Strength
A strategic location and locally sourced raw materials are our strength. Due to the current
pandemic, we will be offering multiple payment options, a wide range of compounded
drug products as well as home delivery service.
Weakness
Our weakness is that we are just starting and our consumers in Kidapawan City are not
yet aware of what a compounding pharmacy is since we will be the first in the city to
offer such service.
Opportunities
There are uncountable opportunities available and all we need to do is to position our
business to take the best out of the available opportunities.
Threats
Like any other retail store, we are most likely to face economic downturn along
unfavorable government policies in health care reforms. These may affect the purchasing
power. Other threats may include the arrival of new pharmaceutical outlets in the same
location.
B. Marketing Strategy
Our marketing strategy and sales strategy will be based creating long-term relationships
with our customers. To achieve this, we need to the products and services we offer will
be more affordable compared to other pharmacies.
Aside from offering affordable prices, our staff will be trained to offer excellent customer
service. We understand that by providing excellent customer service and high-quality
products, this will enable us to gain more customers through free advertising by word of
mouth. We will also advertise our business in radio stations, newspapers, TV, and
promotional posters.
