    LEARNING STRATEGIES II

    Assignment

    1. Identify an area of interest you can work on with your students of a specific level. In doing
    so, identify common problems relating to specific skills that are observed in the place you
    study/work. Describe the problem presented and justify addressing the problem.

    *Design (or pick from an ELT source) an instrument that you can use to get information in
    a specific class.

    (What instrument can you use to confirm the problem(s) you have identified?)

    2. Analyse the results and decide on the most common problem observed.

    3. Design a specific task or use one already designed in a textbook (cite source/author) to
    work with your students as a way to focus on the problem.

    4. From the inventory of strategies given in class, select the one(s) you think will best work in
    solving the task presented. Explain your decisions.

    5. Design and plan a lesson for a group of students using the CALLA model in which the
    language and strategy objectives are established.

    6. Include metacognitive strategies in the design.

    7. Upload the document on Canvas.

    8. Be ready to present the lesson to the class using the appropriate material for the delivery.

    9. Dress code: formal
