Title: Residential Prosumer Energy Management System with Renewable Integration Considering Multi
Energy Storages and Demand Response

Reviewer 4:

The review discusses several interesting scenarios, but does not go into the disadvantages of using
batteries as a storage medium. Costs are described which makes the comparison of the different
scenarios attractive, but it does not address how it could help to improve the storage process, taking
advantage of the maximum energy at the lowest cost.

I suggest emphasizing and going deeper into storage costs.

Response: Dear esteemed Reviewer! Thank you for your appreciation and valuable
suggestion. We appreciate your input and have taken it into consideration in the revised
manuscript.
We have added some disadvantages and challenges related to cost of batteries.
The implementation of batteries as storage system poses some challenges as disadvantages as well. The
first and foremost challenge in battery energy storage system is heavy initial cost. Even though
considerable research has been conducted to make batteries economical, yet battery storage system is
costly. Other than this, they require huge amount of space to be installed depending upon the size of the
system. Ensuring proper installation of battery storage system and compliance with safety regulation can
add further complexities to the system and further enhance the cost of the system. In some of the regions,
regulatory policies related to net metering and grid connection might pose some challenges for
homeowners and may impact the feasibility of energy storage systems.
