Forms used in determining the Training Needs to target clients/Trainees are complete.
There are evidence of Self-assessment Checklist, Validated Current Competencies’ evidences,
Training Gaps and conversion of training gaps into training needs.

Please comment on the usefulness and sufficiency of the materials in recognizing prior learning
and in determining training needs based on the requirements and objectives of the process.

Its very useful since it targets directly the training needs of the trainee/s.It shorten
training duration and minimize manpower requirements. Also, its sufficient for me if and only if
current competencies should be validated/confirmed authencity.
3. Session Plan

This section will give us information on your understanding of Competency Based Training and how trainees plan for their training
session. The session plan should clearly reflect how sessions will be facilitated, what methods and strategies the trainer prepared
for his training. We would like you to comment on the sections of the session plan based on your understanding of what should it
contain. It is very important that you should have a Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) and Training Regulation(TR) for your
qualification to ensure that yout comments will be based on your understanding of Competency Based Training which is based on
the Competency Standards

Introduction It states whats going to be learned but it does’t mention what’s the importance of the topic.

Learning Outcomes: It should be LO2 instead of LO1 based on the Training Regulations.

Learning Contents Learning Content should first discuss/include Safety Procedures before performing tasks.Also,
learning content should be in title form.

Sequencing of contents/events It should start with Safety Procedures then Tools, Equipment,Supplies & Materials to be
used/needed before task are given to Trainees. Its not sequence properly.
Methods Methods used are in line with CBT approach.

Presentation Presentation should be dependent to the Methods being used. For example, if the Methods
mentioned Video presentation, the Presentation column should include also Film showing or
viewing films/slides.
Practice Practice makes one perfect so, task skills should be given more important.

Feedback Feedback coincide with Practice

Resources Resources is complete.

Time Time is optional.

Assessment Plan Since there’s Lectures involve, the assessment should include Written Test to measure their
Knowlege.

5. Institutional Competency Evaluation Tools

The Institutional Competency Evaluation Tool is a tool that will evaluate whether your trainee is competent on the
particular Competency he is training on. It is a requirement for any trainee to pass the evaluation before he can
advance to another competency.
