1. Disinfection is an effort to clean microorganisms, such as germs or viruses,
from the surface of objects using disinfectant materials.
2. Disinfection is an effort to reduce or eliminate the number of pathogenic
microorganisms that cause disease by physical and chemical means.
3. Surface disinfection is intended for flat surfaces such as floors, walls, tables,
chairs, cupboards, and other equipment in field hospitals
DEFINITION
4. Disinfect objects that frequently come into contact with hands, such as eating
utensils.
5. A field hospital is a big, mobile, temporary medical unit that treats patients on-
site before securely transporting them to a permanent hospital.
6. Surface disinfection is a set of actions that use disinfectant ingredients to clean
flat surfaces and other areas often handled by humans.
As a guideline for creating a clean, safe, and comfortable environment in order to
PURPOSE minimize or prevent the transmission of microorganisms from the environment to
patients, staff, visitors, and the community surrounding the field hospital.

1. Ensure that the area to be disinfected is clear of people and animals.
2. Prepare the sprayer and disinfection materials in accordance with the use
instructions.
3. Wear comprehensive personal protective equipment (PPE), including protective
gear with a head covering, mask, goggles, disposable gloves, and boots.
4. Start by desinfecting the unclean areas and surfaces of objects.
5. Use a flannel or microfiber cloth to disinfect non-flat surfaces like railings, poles,
etc.
6. Use a sprayer to disinfect flat surfaces like floors, tables, chairs, etc.
PROCEDURE
7. Wash porous things like carpets, rugs, and drapes in clean water with soap to
disinfect them.
8. Once disinfection is complete, police should clean and disinfect their personal
protective equipment before utilizing it again. Disposable PPE is placed in a
designated garbage bin.
9. Wash your hands with soap and running water.

Note :
At least three (3) times a day, clean and disinfect surfaces that are touched often.
