Dear Year 7,
It is time for your final exam; here is a study guide to help you revise for your
upcoming exam.
1-Global English :
All the lessons we have covered in Global English book are to be included in your exam :
 Unit 2 (the whole unit )
 Unit 3 (3.4 – 3.5 )
 Unit 4 ( 4.1 – 4.3 )
 Unit 6 ( 6.2)
 Unit 8 ( 8.1 )
Please be sure to go over all reading texts, work book exercises ,word lists (1-6), weekly
assignments and quizzes , paying extra attention to your mistakes and my corrections.

2- Writing
You will be asked to write a Sci-fi story. Please be sure to go over all your writings once
more, paying extra attention to my correction.

For successful sci-fi story writing , remember :

 Title
 Introduce your characters and setting in the first paragraph.
 Start each sentence with a capital letter and end with a full stop.
 You may include a dialogue in your story .
 Use powerful language and try to make your narrative vivid and lively .
 Make sure you are not writing too long sentences .
 Do not repeat the words and the expressions you use throughout your narrative.
 Check the ‘Useful Expressions ‘ written down in your reading and writing copybook.
 Check your Sci-fi story writing sheets.
 3-Grammar and Usage
 Passive voice ( all tenses )
 Prefixes – Suffixes
 Modal verbs ( could – should – might – can't …)
 Reported speech
 Reported questions (Yes/No – Wh ..)
 If conditionals
 Sentence types (Simple – compound – complex – compound complex )
 Punctuation marks
