Introduction:

- Background statement (lead in the specific situation in the given prompt)
- Thesis statement (signal language that gives readers a glimpse of your own opinion)

Gender equality has been hotly debated in many countries, given the rising role and influence
of different types of social movements. On account of this, there exists a popular opinion
stating that equality between both sexes has been nearly achieved, especially in Vietnam. From
my perspective, I am convinced that this viewpoint is true, in which the reasons will be
expounded in this essay.
Body 1: Equal in their work lives. (Topic sentence)
Use Supporting ideas (explanation) and Examples (specific event) to back your topic sentence.
SI1: Equal in job opportunities.
 Women are equally favored in recruitments.
Women are often viewed as less educated than men in the past but it is not applied in
the current era.
Vietnam nowadays has many female politicians (Ms Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan), female
billionaires (Chairwoman of Vietjet Air).
SI2: Equal in job payments.
 Same job and women now usually receive the same payments compared to men.
On many occupations, women are paid equally for the same jobs and responsibility.
Body 2: Equal in their personal lives.
SI1: Equal in marriage
 Women now have freedom in choosing their spouses.
The tradition of planned marriage has been faded for many years.
SI2: Equal in other relationships
 Women also have free will in selecting and forming their friendships as well as romantic
relationships.
In the past, parents had imposed their influences on women, single-handedly decided
whom their daughters should be friends or fall in love with. This does not apply to the
current era.

Body 1: Equal in their work lives. (Topic sentence)

Use Supporting ideas (explanation) and Examples (specific event) to back your topic sentence.
SI1: Equal in job opportunities.

SI2: Equal in job payments.
 Same job and women now usually receive the same payments compared to men.
On many occupations, women are paid equally for the same jobs and responsibility.

Firstly, gender equality has been achieved at work. Regarding job opportunities, though women
had been discriminated in the past due to their lack of access to formal education, it no longer
is true in the modern days in Vietnam as there emerge many female politicians, including Ms.
Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan as the chairwoman of the Vietnam Congress, and female well-respected
businesswoman such as the chairwoman of VietJet air. Not only that, one might argue women
receive lower rate of payments compared to those of men but I believe that it is applied in only
a few regions. In Vietnam to be more specific, there is no evidence to support such a wage gap
between men and women working the same professions, regardless of fields. Therefore, these
ideas shed light on why it is generally believed that gender equality has been in effects at
workplaces.

Body 2: Equal in their personal lives.

Secondly, they have attained gender equality in their personal lives. In the past, women were
unable to choose their partners; they were either chosen by their parents or taken away from
unsuitable men. Women nowadays have the freedom to choose whom they marry for the
remainder of their lives. Not only could they not choose their spouses, but they could also not
choose their friends; they either needed approval from their parents, or, even worse, their
parents chose the friends they would be with. Nowadays, however, women have the freedom
to choose the they adore and hang out with them without the approval of their parents or
anyone else
TOPIC 2: Many people think that air pollution can be resolved by increasing the cost of fuel.
Do you agree or disagree?
Agree.
Body 1: Decrease the number of vehicles. ( Topic sentence )

 Less volume of emission.

This is because, air pollution was mostly caused by the amount of emission being
discharge. And so, when the volume of emission decreases, air pollution can be
resolved.

 Reduce the number of people using vehicles.

People would be more careful with the use of their vehicles making the number of
people going out with vehicles reduce -> the amount of emission would also decrease.
Not only that, they would also change to electric vehicles.

Homework: Many people think that public school is

better than private school. Do you agree or
disagree?

Body 1: Children can have higher academic standards (Topic sentence)

 Teachers/ School system will work on with what will appear on the SAT or A level exams.
Students are able to understand and will have more time to practice the exam that will
be given to them in the future, most of them will have higher score than students who
study in a public school -> they would need to study harder just to get a score that is
great.

 More after activities (which is needed to attend a good university)

Private school would make more activities about charity or educational activities which is
need in universities (the more activity you attend, the higher chance you’ll be in a better
university)
Body 2: Private school will have a safer learning environment (Topic sentence)
 Help children understand what they should do during a fire/ school shooting
Once in a while student are able to experience what they should do in a fire or school
shooting to prevent them getting injured or even die

 The protection of the school is better

Private schools will have better guards, better gates and have better product to help with
children safety (70% of parents who have kids that study in a private school agrees that they
are much safer when studying in a private school).

Body 1: Firstly, private schools require students to achieve better academic standards. The
school systems and instructors will look more closely at samples of their forthcoming exams
in order to provide students with an indication of what will be on the exam and practice
how to get a higher score with their answers. Researchers concurred that students from
private schools typically outperformed those from public schools on SAT tests. Not only
that, but private schools generally have charity events or extracurricular activities for
students to participate in, which typically improves their university application; the more
activity they do, the better their chances of getting into a decent university.

Body 2: Secondly, private schools provide a secure atmosphere for students to study in. 70%
of parents believe that sending their children to private education would be a better option.
They get to experience and comprehend what they should do in the event of a fire or
shooting, which helps to increase awareness while also protecting them from impending
peril. Private school pupils are less likely to die in a school shooting than public school
students. This is typical because the school guardians were better educated about who was
entering the classroom; additionally, the product that the school uses are more
professional, which reduces the possibility of the school beginning a fire.

Body 1: Admittedly, obtaining a university degree provides clear advantages for students in
their future career. Companies will typically examine people's university academic
backgrounds to provide them with a promising recruit. Not only will they be able to access a
variety of fields of study, providing them with more well-rounded knowledge, but they can
gather enough information to select suitable majors for them. Therefore, they will be better
equipped for their future jobs.
